if i remember correctly wow has the same type of login system when there servers get full.

Yes but in the Wow waiting list you do not have a thousand botters already in que before you.

but in wow its hard to make a gold bot company because you have to pay to make an account and such. i bet you if wow was free like sro it would have a gold bot problem

Now ya'll are just making excuses for this failure of an MMO. What is your criteria for good gameplay, because you all use "graphics" as a crutch. There are other free MMOs which don't have a gold bot problem as serious as SRO's, some have no gold bot problem. How will you rationalize playing SRO now?

I play CSRO with a group of 12 friends, usually only 6-8 on at a time.
Makes for good party play, no log in issues, no gold bots, lots of friendly high levels.

I like it... Yay me I suppose. Your not limited to ISRO, play the game how you make of it.

Because it will be full of goldbots. Make it 10, 20, hell 100k slots per server and 99k will be gold bots. There's a video in EB showing how it works. Guy types number of spots and the server's name then the bots are auto-created, auto-logged, auto-everything. If JM wants to fix this game they have to destroy it, do a complete wipe of all accounts and be strict about their bot policy with real GMs doing the work like in other Free To Play MMOs.

I'm going to make an educated assumption that the time taken to login to silkroad is on average about 3 hours (and thats being generous).

3 hours work of minimum wage ($9~?) = 27$

EVEN 3 hours of work for 7$/hour could get you WoW

1. Come home.
2. Set up your client, login.
3. Do homework, eat, other stuff.
4. Come back in a few hours and you'll be probably logged in.

I don't see a problem there.

The best being to stay always connacted and stall/idle when you go afk, even during nights.

I see much less random 'Disconnected from server' error than before, its quite easy to stay logged for long.

Silk road on the long run is far more expensive than Wow. It's not even fun anymore, pvp is not even what it used to be. The job system is beyond gay now, nobody will ever do a trade run because people rather buy the gold, so that means no hunters to protect the traders, but most importantly no thieves to rob the trade either. Silk road is a dead game, but the only thing keeping this game alive are the people who are level 100 fully farmed, and have some items that make him or her strong, or the people whom still think there is hope. I highly doubt this game will draw any new player. Most people judge games in there first two hours of play.

They will be lucky to login to even judge sro

They don't have to wipe all accounts. They just need active GMs in each server who actually enforce the rules. A GM can stand around in each city, or outside the gates, and ban each and every character that acts like a bot. See a character go from point A to B to C to D to E... BAN.

You don't even need GMs for that. Script it on the server side. Worried about possibly banning a legit who just happens to be hitting the "bot spots" on the way to his grinding spot? Make the initial ban temporary and notify the user. The user should learn to take a different route. If they don't, next offense (or third?) is permaban. All without a live GM.

GMs can be there to catch things the script might miss. Legits shouldn't have anything to worry about because they should know not to 'act like a bot' and if they do, that's their loss.

Edit: If the system works well enough, it should be able to catch bots as soon as they are created and try to leave Jangan/Constantinople. Bot companies can change their routes, but Joymax can download the updated bot software, study it, and update their server scripts to ban.

Yes your right WOW is complete crap full of botters, no parties, huge grind to level and farming insane amount of sp ofcourse that is if ya can finda spot to grind that isn't overun with KSing bots, can't forget once you hit cap no end game just farm sp for next cap. OH wait thats SRO.

im pretty sure that they create their own software, the main goldselling site. the lesser one probably someone elses bot though.

sro won't give you that coz there is no queue with it. I might have missed something about it but I have yet to see a proof that it has queue system. It seems nothing more than some cheap auto enter pressing program for every 15-20 sec, to me.

It is easy to see its a queue system. Just login and get a friend to login on the same login server right after you. You will see you will get access right before him.

The only thing I dont get is how the 4 (or 5) login servers acts together? Are they independant? Like 4 sepearate queues? 1 from each queue get access one by one? Would explain why some login servers takes much longer to login.
