I have a double feeling about it.
Dungeons like start and BRD are made really nice, but the time is just not worth it if your group can't handle it efficiently.
Thus instead of doing 1 big one, you do 2-3 smaller ones with the same result besides the fact you can ditch 1 if needed.

The northrend heroics are miles easier than these instances were (done at the proper level of course). Hell, outland heroics put everything to shame before they got nerfed (pre-2.1 H Shattered Halls was insane).

Weren't TBC instances filled with the need for CC. I read some things about warriors being shunned from 5-mans due to no CC.

Warriors weren't shunned, as tanks everyone liked them. There we're very little DPS warriors in TBC (Due to class mechanics), so that's probably where that rumour comes from.

Wasn't it there some massive AoE in Shadow Labs or something where it was impossible for prot war or bear to hold the aoe aggro back then.

Fun shit like that. Arcatraz was a bitch cause the last boss was insane. But shattered halls was the worst. Tried doing it with a fully geared (at that time meant kara/gruul's gear) warrior, priest/paladin healer, 2 mages and a rogue. And still didn't have enough cc. Was homo. Had to do it for mag attunement too!

Ur talking about that little Gauntlet part right? That sure was enjoyable, for about 2 hours, that's when the group gave up.

Went to gnomer for the 2 engi pets. Only got 1 because stupid didn't want to drop it. Went to everlook and did some yeti quest to make yeti pets. Got transporter recipe for gadgetzan, but I dislike the needed mats.
Ran Mara for some transporter mats and only got 1 of the 4 needed drops.
Wanted to run a part of BRD for the schematic of the repair bot. Followed half a guide which I misunderstood thus I first ran around BRD for half an hour after I saw the door I needed to blow up. Then I managed to die on a boss with adds that stunned me. I did the key quest while I was dead. Found out I went too far again and my death wasn't needed but at least I got the key now.
Finally got the schematic after 2 hours in that hellhole and I'm never ever going back to there.
I finished the quest achievement in Zul'Drak and did the amphitheater quests in there. We 3 manned the first 3 bosses. I died despite invisibility on the 4th boss and a nelf priest helped smiting the boss. On the last boss, the ally party who was near us doing the same Q's, helped us clear the last boss while our tank died.

Well, the gauntlet with the boss that 2 shots clothies and had an instant cast fear with zero warning was fun. What was even better was wiping about 20 times to the pull right after him (of 7 mobs) because we couldn't CC them enough and someone kept dying. God that place was a bitch. But then they went and nerfed the crap out of everything and have kept up with that motif ever since seeing as how most everything is a joke now

Heroics are a joke now. Only a thing you need to do, to buy wellfare gear.

First you dress up as a Helga-like woman and then you go bearbacking, polishing and mounting helms, blowing horns and soon I'll raise and thrust spears.

Well, I left Zul'Drak half-finished and went to finish Storm Peaks and then finished half of Icecrown before I dinged 80. My favorite zone among all in Northrend must've been Sholazar!

Sholazar is indeed awesome. It doesn't matter what maps I do, but I kind of want to do Zul'drak first because then that's more Ice Crown and Storm Peaks quests that I'll get gold for instead of exp. I don't mind Zul'drak atm either, though that huge elite walking around makes me nervous every time I get somewhat near him.

Maintenance started when I had 20% to go til 80. What really sucks is Trollbane is one of the servers getting a special extended maintenance. The game wont even be up when I go to work tomorrow. FML

Well I did most quests in all areas for the achievement with the exception of a few group quests due to lack of a party.
Borean tundra > Howling fjords > dragon blight > grizzly hills > Zul'drak > Basin > Storm peaks > Ice crown.
I dinged in Basin and now I'm in storm peaks for gold and the achievement and I must say gold comes fast and I'm going to dislike the day I finish all Q's in northrend.
Currently I liked Zul'drak the least due to being gloomy and dark. And I hate all Nerubians on every map ever since they killed me multiples times in Borean Tundra.

I love Zul'Drak because of the types of quests and the whole drakuru story thing.

I hated that quest, my tiny screen was filled with a huge giant.
On a side note: installing wow on desktop as we speak.
