What lvl was the warlock and was his debuffs and stun 10d? Also, tried it with disease 11 on her?

If that was the case, haha, good game they made her hard again :D

Yep, I was a lvl 90 pure int Bard/Warlock (on the Oasis server) and I'm really pissed-off about this because now I'm a Bard/???, as the Warlock is all but useless with this, and the fact that they also incorporated Disease resistant stones. Have fun trying to kill Roc without the Warlock debuffs when they decide to nerf that too.

How hard do you want it to be to kill uniques anyway? This is supposed to be a teamplay based game, that is what makes it interesting to play in the first place. Now that they nerfed the warlock, it has become one build that is worthless to everyone. Say goodbye to "teamplay" in sro.

Who's next on the nerf list, anyone care to wager?

i agree with you, i mean then what makes Uniques so unique then if they sleep and get all statuses... and not everybuild have to kill a unique you can't kill it? don't hunt it :)

medusa is piss easy with just 1 to 2 parties without warlock...what are you guys complaining at?

the only ppl who would fail at medusa because they rely on warlock are botters and/or are too lazy to handgrind (move your freakn char away when the white circle appears).

It's not making me happy if thats what you mean, I don't play anymore lol, thats just what I think.

I haven't played since Yarken, but is it really hard to kill any unique? I dunno if Medusa is diff but with the way Isro is the uniques just get mobbed and pounded away all while more and more ppl are showing up anyway. but even if it wasn't like that, yes I would still say they shoudln't be stopable or w/e like that.

It takes the fun away from it, back before everyone was botting up and getting sunned out unique hunting was fun, Uruchi would spawn, ya go running around and find him, atk him as much as we could until a couple spawns in then stop and run around or else die from the spawns lol, same with Isy, it was alot more fun when you had to actually stop simply spamming skills and get the hell out of the way until more of the spawns were dead. Those who didn't move in time prolly get owned, then Isy and all its spawns would just stand there, casually walking around until the ranged users picked off some spawns enough to start atking again lol.


Anyway >.>.


It's a boss, it's supposed to not be effected by most things like that ;d.

I guess it's not so much the uniques I'm complaining about as much as the way JM likes to nerf builds at will. They give a skill, then they turn around and make it ineffective somewhere down the road. It's not just the Warlock, it's all of the builds that they have done it to. It seems though, that they are really nerfing down the Warlock, what with the pills and the cleric bless spell and now there is the Disease immunity stones. I will agree that something should be done about the Trap/Sleep bug (if it is a bug), but why take away the ability to do what a warlock is meant to do...debuff, I just don't get it.

Not to take away from your opinion or anything but, if you are going to think like that, then why not go all the way, and make Uniques immune to ALL imbues like fire, ice, lightning and make it where the only damage done is the base damage of the weapons used against them. We have the skills for a reason, why not utilize them? If it doesn't seem fair, then why not let the Uniques pill it off or spawn mobs that can counteract/prevent them, (that would just add another dimension to the game if they did it like that).

Oh, and no, I wasn't directing my "happy" comment at you specifically, it was meant as a "blanket" comment directed towards the warlock haters in general. Sorry for the confusion :wink:

thats only in isro lol, in all other versions there is no hate toward warlock or love toward cleric because the holy spell is 50% and the dbuffs still work on uniques lol

Warlock isnt completely nerfed out the game, maybe there are stones that are weakening your warlock that are easily obtainable, but that doesnt mean Warlock is nerfed.

Even with these stones, I wouldnt be suprised if you put diesese on someone like you are doing it nowdays, because this is Joymax we are talking about (read: bad programed game).
Remember the times when Warlock's stun had like ~40% chance to succeed, and then suddenly after Tuesday's inspection my every 7th stun failed?

Things are unpredictable at Joymax. Warlock is completely overpowered build, and it needs to get nerfed down, come on, killing an full Int with pimped gear, suns or whatever with snow shield takes only diesese -> trap -> sleep -> overhealing -> gluthealing -> overhealing.
(P.S. you should've taken Cleric subclass).

Uniques should be hard, whats the point of someone killing a capped unique under hour?
RoC is first unqiue that should be called unique, because others are just a joke.
As Jackal said, you shouldnt be able to sleep unique.

Warlock debuffs (Impotent, Division, Bleed, Dull) will always work on anyone, you dont have to worry about taht at all. Anyhow, you will get reduced Holy Word to 50% eventually, it WILL happen.

Skills work just fine doing the dmg on bosses though, the only parts of em that don't are a few status effects, right?

I guess I just meant bosses shouldn't be effect by halting effects like stun/sleep/freeze, don't others like burn and w/e only last a couple seconds on uniques anyway?

joymax should make a lvl restriction for uniques

all those f*cking lvl 100 killing TG/ISY/URU/etc.

if a lvl restriction is made for lvls possible to attack isy (like lvl 0 ~ 35 can attack TG/CERB , 35 ~ 45/50 can attack URU/that pirate woman thingy xD etc. )

that would bring low lvl pt hunting back in the game.. probably some high lvl's will make noob chars full sun to take out uniques at that lvl but atleast other people get a chance too instead of a lvl 100 running around with 100% speed 3hitting TG :|

i know, life isn't fair :(

true INT warlock are so nerfed ... any chinise can own int warlock with ice wall and if new stones they wont have any chance + they cant kill STR/cler so warlock totaly useless and debuffs on uniques now wont work 100% with desease ... ahh shit i think i will dlvl warlock......

That is truly a matter of personal opinion, so I won't argue that point because there are valid arguments for both sides.

Well, time will tell how these stones will affect the Warlock skills. Maybe I did jump the gun a lil bit, but like you said "this is Joymax we are talking about (read: bad programed game)". I am just assuming that they have screwed this up just as everything else they do.

The reasons I took Warlock over Cleric were for the better solo opportunities and I thought that it would have a better shot at "Unique" parties, as there are a lot more Clerics than there are Warlocks. In a grind party Bards are needed, but in a Unique-mob party I figured that people would welcome a Warlock, over a Bard, just for the debuffs. And if that wasn't the case then I could still Bard buff.

And yes, I have stated that the trap/sleep thing needs to be fixed because that truly isn't fair to anyone. I only used that exploit on party mobs myself.

Anyways, anything we say here are just mute points, nothing can be done from this forum to start with. But that doesn't stop us from discussing the problems. IMO, what it really boils down to is most of us are justifying the reasons we quit sro in the first place, and we are really looking for reasons to return, but we never find any, only more reasons to not return.

We killed Medusa plenty of times without warlock when it first came out. If it's hard, it's fun.

p/s : Ur DoTs increase the total party damage on Medusa. U're still contributing to the party.
