the major problem i have now is that i have to fill a 2blue socket requirement.
there are absolutely NO blue/green/purple gems that have stats i fully value. the best i can hope for is some sp/MP5 (i don't need mp5) or sp/stam(at 17k hp, do i really need more stam?) or a form of hit/stam or haste/stam or hit/mp5 or haste/mp5. BALLS I SAY! BALLLLLLSSSSSSS!

BALLS I SAY! BALLLLLLSSSSSSS! Yep, it's pretty annoying. And with the new epic gems approaching the quality of the JC gems, it's not much of an advantage to be a JCer, especially since using the JC gems now have a color requirement, and you're losing stats to ridiculous blue requirements when blue/green/purple aren't really worth a shit to melee. Stam in a raid? Yep that's exactly what I needed, thanks blizz...../annoyed rant On a brighter note, I finally FINALLY got an epic hat drop out of that new heroic 5 man. That ends months of searching for an epic hat to replace my Hateful Gladiators. Now for some trinkets.... It's rather unsightly to be carrying around 2 Uld 25 weapons and wearing my Emerald Boar JC trinket

Can you both stop nagging pl0x?
All non JC people learned to deal with meta requirements. JC is now on par (well almost) with other professions such a alchemy, BS, enchanting,...
Bliz was forced to make the changes because JC gave an unfair advantage.
Example
Mage Enchanting => +X SP on rings JC => the same X while not being forced to use 2 purple gems which equalled in more SP gain

There's a +10 to all stat gem that's prismatic, like the old JC gems. Now I don't know if you can only have one equipped or it's JC only, but try looking for it in the JC shop where the new epic cuts are sold. It's like an updated version of enchanted tear.

Mage Enchanting => +X SP on rings JC => the same X while not being forced to use 2 purple gems which equalled in more SP gain And now that epic gems have been updated for everyone, bringing those gems more in line with the JC only gems. So not only are our JC only gems not that much better than the epic ones, whatever advantage we had by ignoring the meta requirement is gone as well. Call it nagging if you want, but it was a major nerf and there are a lot of JCers who are bitching, not just us.

they balanced JC, they didnt nerf it lol. i mean before, if you where weighing your options on which profession to go. youd say hmm... bs - extra socket on my gloves and bracers, enchanting - extra enchant on my rings, JC - OMG 27 STR GEM? the highest right now is 16 (and the new epics are 20, so 27 is still WAY better), AND I GET TO IGNORE META GEM REQUIREMENTS? wow sounds like a no brainer... JC it is.
now ppl will have to pick which one they want. i know on my server it seems EVERYONES a JC, i mean why go tailoring anymore? a back enchant? no one goes tailor, no one goes BS, and NO ONE goes LW. everyone is either JC or enchanter(de epics makes alot of money, + the enchants on rings), sometimes both.

No, epic gems won't reduce your benefits as a JCer seeing Dragon's Eye gem stats were increased.
Every DPS without JC had to fill those nasty blue slots for meta requirement, so no QQs please.
JC nerf was only on the meta requirement, which is justified.

Started my first toon in the first week of May....so 3 months. Having so much more fun here than Silkroad. Did a few heroics...DTK, Gundrak, ToC and the daily Nexus. Got Bindings of the Wicked, Brilliant Hailstone Amulet, Cowl of the Dire Troll and Slithering Slippers all on my first night at 80.

Went around bugging Jay and Grace while they were in Hellfire, discovered I only have 4 quests to do to get http://www.wowhead.com/?achievement=1271 might be down to 2 left, working on one of them, and I think I know what the other one is. (If it's 2 left...)

Managed to solo the other "group" quests that were part of the D.E.H.T.A. line.
