Thats my point. Its not about being anonymous. This game is built around show and tell and wanting to be admired and respected by your peers and all that garbage. It is the best they can do. We have a point here. It just is not like this in any other game period and we all know why. They can't defend the people who do this so they attack the people that point it out. Kill the messenger so to speak. But the message still remains. They can't argue their position because basically they agree with ours the only difference is that while they understand these people are botters they don't believe this should be pointed out or those people banned. But I kind of agree with OP , there is some times when you make a SS ingame that is non-achievement related , so nobody need to see any info for that. Don't care that much what your screen shot is trying to show us period... What makes me roll my eyes is the pathetic excuses as to why you blurred your info...

I know that there are some people who probably aren't botters that blurred their name but the chance of that in a game like his is real low. So spare us the lame reasons. Laws and such of the internetz are based on where the server is located.. which is why some people host data on a server out of their country if something is illegal in their country.

SRF's server is based in Dallas, Texas; so the US laws apply ;D

I posted a similar thread about this issue earlier, and I completely agree with you. Censoring names on screenshots is complete BS and just a loophole to remain here as a botter without being caught.

The United States Bill of Rights has no enforcement whatsoever over an online video game. Unless the game violates the immediate rights of the American citizen.

You play within the game and everyone is allowed to see your name. If amendment 4 & 5 had any legal authority over MMORPGs then it would be demanded by law of the United States for games to have an option to hide your name in-game.
