@borat2 you're right about the community. it's just sad to see ones fighting against others... DO PVP GUYS! xD seriously, you're right. =)

About this "NEW POLICY" and botters...
I've seen so many dead cities in SRO (c'mon, from Jangan to Hotan it's full of gold bots plus players who bots) two days ago one bot was putting a lot of items on the floors and I said "GOD BLESS THE BOTS" because they finally did something useful for me, really... it's so difficult to do your quests in Hotan and get some money and more if you're a 2h warrior.

I was going to leave SRO a few days ago but someone changed my mind... well, actually 2 persons.
In fact, I was going to purchase silk a few weeks ago before getting in Hotan.
But now I think that if we buy silk we're supporting gold bots and single players who use bots to lvl up.

Actually, the game design of this game it's designed to punish the players like the thing of losing exp or those horses who disappear... what kind of insane game designer are the one who planned this???

I remember when I tried for the very first time SRO at Gaia server and I was at the Droa dock (2h warrior of lvl 24... it was a cute female ^^). One player (who was botting) was hitting his face against a wall and I got really angry cuz I'm a hardcore gamer, I play any game until my body is completely broken (I'm not the best but I really enjoy playing games)... so I said "oh man, I'll stab u!" yes, pk on him. I started my attack and ANOTHER PLAYER KILLED ME! I quit SRO for like 1 year or so. And the player who was botting told me "yeah, I'm botting, it's hard to lvl from lvl 35" A BIG LIE.

Well, just to let u know about my experiences and yes, I'm thinking the same as the others Joymax won't do anything against any kind of bots.

Cmon this botters again, you cant finally get over it ? :banghead:

Sit down for a minute and get the facts finally, silkroad is a botting game. This new announcment from joymax related to the goldbots. They are driving over 100k slots from all over the server and ruining joymax business. Player bots who buying silk doing alchemy using magic pop are actually legits, not just in isro, in all version of sro. In ksro, csro the highest levels are botters, and joymax know about them.

If you are so legit why dont just go and play csro at lover lelevs hmm ... ?
Because its fu*** boring and noone will plvl you by bot.

in isro ksro csro and ALL OTHERS the high levels are botters because a legit player that has the patience NOT TO GRIND but to put up with the bots are very low.
also its quite often the botters who end up being the sad ones who play all the time... or "babysit".

the reason this forum exists is because of legits.
silkroad is not a botting game. its a legit game. bots should not exist and were never ment to be here

People on my forum crying that they can't login with loaders. (No, i won't give you proof, because you wouldn't understand the language even if i give you the link, and i don't care for the ones who will say "Yea friend"). So maybe joymax put up something that don't allow them to login usiong loaders or bots? Strange thing, but a lot of people are complaining, so it seems it's not just a bug that happened to only 1 person....

Yup BG is right. Looks like they made it so unless you use the official client, it'll disconnect u from the login server. My friend told me it said something about go check the website. Guess when they said "restrict" they actually meant it. lmao.

Too bad it'll be like a day or 2 before I see half my uni back online again >_<. owell. that's sro for ya. :banghead:

Sure about that? since all i see is 1 of the 3 login servers is down, i dont use a loader and i still had that bug just restart your client a few times and you will connect eventually.

but there are clientless bots that will surly not be affected by this?
is that not what the main trouble is with clientless bots you can run i dno 20 without your pc lagging.

im not gna name bot names but theyre is a new bot which contains a multiclient clientless where you can open the client to check on your char, this surely wont be affected no?

Of course they can be affected by this (no one knows what their "detection" actually is). Something as simple as checking the coordinates every character uses in towns would (at least when i was playing) catch every bot that ever went back to town and repotted. This could be easily randomized, but so far i dont think it has been done.

There are also other easily implementable solutions that would catch plenty of bots as well.

If it's boring why do they play?

A hard game? Are you sure? Isn't the real meaning of "hard" something is actually difficult to do?

For example, writing a bot from scratch would be considered hard/difficult by the vast majority of people. Why? Because it requires intricate knowledge in multiple fields in computer science. Not many people have these skills, and they take time to learn.

So does that apply to playing silkroad?

Making progress is essentially determined by how many monsters you kill. If you break it down, playing silkroad consists the following steps:

1. Select a monster.
2. Press buttons that are assigned to certain skills.
3. Watch monster die. Repeat.

So what makes that hard? The fact that something takes a long time does not necessarily make it hard. I guess you could shoehorn "hard" into meaning "difficult to obtain". Which technically would be true.

So basically, silkroad primarily consists of repetition rather than being actually difficult to play. This makes it a botting game because computers are perfect for solving problems that requires repetition.

Why JM does not sell a bot is impossible to know. I agree that it is a decent argument. The only real reason i can think of is that they basically got caught with their pants down. They didn't consider that people would get extremely addicted to keeping up with their friends, or obtaining an advantage (higher level). JM probably intended for the "triangular conflict" to be the actual "content", rather than just leveling up for the sake of leveling up.

CeLL is srf's Bawksee however im not even going to mention king. i think that spot is probably reserved for XMoshe sorry CeLL. :( (imo)

silkroad is not hard nor does it take a long time if you kno what your doing...
i got from 30-76 in 2 monthes of Premium. i got power leveld by guild a little but not that much not out of the ordinary i did most of the work myself.. its called knowing the game.. a little research helps.

what i would do to stop the bots is the following

Note the bot line in hotan (all bots follow the same line.. almost every bot every clientless follow the same line)
Ban every bot that runs along two/three of those lines in hotan more then once (only bots would consistantly stop and run the same)
KICK EVERYONE RUNNING THOSE LINES!

then that would clear loads of space for a start.
then what i would do is wait. the bots will change the pattern and id start to Spot ban.
a temp ban that would ban those bots that line up at potion merchant at the same spot.
this will annoy bot companies and regular botters.

finally id do a larger temp ban (6monthes) if caught by same methods or other form of obvious bot movement such as stopping when moving to grind spot or targetting mobs that are not alive where the bot program is slowwer the actual game response. etc..

if any other these methods are used to catch a 6month banned account then its IP PERM BAN. you had your chance and your warning. your not trusted. your out? simple. as long as people know the rules they will not be intrested in getting banned.

Well when I still played SRO, I stuck with iSRO because the other versions are meant for citizens of that country. From what I understand, you're "supposed" to have a Chinese CID or whatever to play cSRO, or Korean for kSRO, etc. I know people do make up numbers for themselves, but I don't do that. I just stick with iSRO.

I also don't want to start yet another character from level zero. This is NOT because "it's fu*** boring and no one will plvl you by bot." I don't do plvl, and if I did, I certainly wouldn't get it from a bot. I do my own hand grinding, at any level. I just don't want to start over when I've already put in the work that I did into my current characters.
