[Restriction Campaign of Illegal Program Usage in Silkroad] Jun 30, 2009
Hello. This is Silkroad Online.

This is our new policy to protect our game from illegal program.

1. Silkroad Online scheduled to enforce strongly on an illegal program usage as such as auto hunting program called BOT.
(Brand new BOT detecting system would be applied)

2. Illegal program usage will not grant you to access the Silkroad Online.
(When you cant login, simply reinstall the game to play it normally.)

3. When continuously illegal program usage is detected, the account would be restricted.

As the result, only normal client should be used. Any programs which might be considered as illegal programs should not be used.

haha

afraid about new pserver !

They still don't get it, they should ban goldbots, and not the normal bots.

You don't get it. They should ban both. Besides, weren't they doing just that last year?

All chinese players bot on cSRO, difference is there are no goldbots and you can log in with your first try without premium.

CSRO's easy server traffic isn't a result of allowing players to bot though. So what's the point of just banning goldbots and not player bots?

None of you get it. Its gngwc time. Every year they do this so the contestants don’t bombard them with bot related questions, plus it surges silk purchases. They are going to do the SAME shit they have always done, ban gold bots every week, ban old dead accounts and ban non-silk buying accounts. This will last for how ever long gngwc lasts, maybe a little longer, then boom right back to server traffic.

Meh... I know that. GNGWC time doesn't have anything to do with just banning goldbots exclusively, which was what Mr. Bloody and I are talking about.

Correct. Every year they do this. With the added pressure on them due to the world recession they could pull a rabbit out of the hat this year though.

This kind of announcement is good for one thing. Showing who the real idiots are that fall for it year after year. Time to lurk general discussion and mock anyone that thinks JoyMax is actually going to do something.

If they are gonna ban player bots to, then they might just as well shut down silkroad.
Gold bots are ruining the game most...

You guys whine when they dont do something, when they do something. You whine that they dont do enough.

Fake chars. He's been doing it for awhile. Satire of someone else who had stuff like

100 Pure Int Warrior
100 Pure Str Nuker
100 Str Wizard

what's with the question marks in their post?
its like ??bot?? they never heard of it being in game???
when you can??t login... they aren't aware of their own servers' statuses

not even about joymax banning accounts, i can't even believe they managed to complete the form to join gngwc...

Did anyone ever disputed the fact that goldbots ruin the game most? Stop regurgitating the goldbots-are-evil-but-player-bots-are-ok shit. You're not enlightening anyone so try and fail to look smart somewhere else. No one's even asking Joymax to ban ALL bots in one mighty swoop as it's just not realistic. The point is that player bots should not be as absolutely safe as what you kids, for some reason, want.

Notice they call it their "new policy". WTF is that? Shouldn't it be their policy all along? And whats up with the 3rd item on the list? When continuously illegal program usage is detected, the account would be restricted. Restricted? why not baned forever? As usual this company is full of sh*t.

i appreciate you defending me on this matter, but please do me a favor and let retards like PatrokloS look stupid. its not a satire, its my attempt to weed out simple-minded people. it seems to work well.

Our community is messed up and what you are doing is just being a troll with such a sig, why not try to simply help the community?

right now, you are yelling FIRE! FIRE! in a hospital full of people with burn accidents what else would you expect? that they get the joke?

here comes the WHY SO SERIOUS reply.

@topic.

This is standard procedure at Joymax Ltd. Before GNGWC, act like you are actually trying to fix the bot problem...AFTER the GNGWC same old goldbot ban list, experienced this so many times i cant believe this any more.

…im glad you have an opinion.
How about you don’t tell me what to do with your over the top metaphors and you internet angerz.
If I wanna troll I very well will do so. I contribute plenty, if you don’t like me, my sig, or my posts then id suggest you block them. Not hard to do.

For your info its not a personal attack towards you, its a simple thing i have been noticing here on the forums...everyone complain about how far the forums have gone but most of the ones complaining are the ones actually helping destroy the community, my response to you has nothing to do with anger, just a thing i hate about most of the members here and indeed you are correct, can simply add you to the blocklist.

my blocklist is empty since i rather would change people minds instead of simply ignoring their point of view. just do your thing but stop hating when people actually tell you what you are doing :)

It's not an instantly ban. Players will get 3 or more warnings before having a perma ban. So smartass botter will stop using bots at 2nd warning.
The best way is simply block the bot program and suspend the account for days.
1st warning 1 day
2nd warning 2 days
3rd warning 4 days
8, 16, 32 days, etc...

I'm not supporting bots, but what NuclearSilo says would be really one of the best solutions they could offer. Because in the first place people won't get their accounts banned and second, they will know that not it's not safe to use bots. So Joymax will same most of it's costumers and clear a bit the problem with bots. And if they manage to do this in the right way, then they could really revive this game. But that's only IF

agree that would be an awesome solution, kudos to you, good idea.

but i dont think joymax is willing to upkeep there game to that extent, cuz think about how many people they would have to restrict, keep track of days/offenses/names etc, awesome idea, its all on joymax tho
