1. Normal weapon to SoX, SoH
2. Wolf Into something (Like Gennie, monsters and Small wolf to big wolf!)

1. Normal weapon to SoX, SoH

Open pk2 Extractor and then open media.pk2 in the extractor
then resinfo> and extract ITEMRARE.TXT ...

in there search for the item u have
Weapon Codes... :
ITEM_CH_BLADE_XX - Blade
ITEM_CH_TBLADE_XX - Glaive
ITEM_CH_SPEAR_XX - Spear
ITEM_CH_BOW_XX - Bow
ITEM_CH_SHIELD_XX - Shield

ITEM_EU_SWORD_XX - OneHand Sword

before we begin edit you need to understand "Tiers"

It all depends on levels of the item
for example a 5D twohand staff has levels(higher lvl,the higher is the Tier)(Max Tier is Tier3)
1st tier of 5D tstaff is lvl32
2nd tier is lvl35
3rd tier is lvl 38...

if you have a 8D Spear 1Tier,
you search for ITEM_CH_SPEAR_08_A_RARE and want it SoX then you Delete "_RARE" so it becomes
And then near it you see “system\system_raretype_a_stepX.efp”
If u want SoSun, you edit it to “system\system_raretype_a_step3.efp”
If u want it SoM you edit it to “system\system_raretype_a_step2.efp”
If u want it SoStar you edit it to “system\system_raretype_a_step1.efp”
If u want it SohStar you edit it to “system\system_raretype_a_step1_honor.efp”
If u want it SohMoon you edit it to “system\system_raretype_a_step2_honor.efp”
If u want it SohSun you edit it to “system\system_raretype_a_step3_honor.efp”
Sometimes the weapon has two strings..
So you have to edit it both.
Truth Reavealed: No Need to edit itemdata.txt ! (It gives Nuthing!)

2. Wolf into SomeThing
Open pk2 Extractor and then open media.pk2 in the extractor
And open server_dep>silkroad>textdata, then extract characterdata_10000.txt and then search for “COS_P_WOLF_XXX”
XXX=wolf lvl, example: wolf is lvl 21, search for COS_P_WOLF_021.. then when u find it, move right until u find “cos\p_wolf_01.bsr” change it to a monster code..

3. Mob into Other Mob
Open pk2 extractor and then open media.pk2 in sro folder and goto server_dep>silkroad>textdata then extract all characterdata.txt

And open each of them and search for the monster code you need (codes can be found in my list)
And then scroll right until you find monstercode and replace it with the one you want, that’s all!


4. Stall Network FIX
Open pk2 extractor and open media.pk2
server_dep/silkroad/textdata/ and open fmncategorytreedata.txt

change all the last values in the red box for example from "8" to "9"
Notice: Do not change "0" to "9"

5. Removing Abuse Filter
Extract abusefilter.txt from server_dep/silkroad/textdata/ and then delete everything in it and type this in the file: *GC0x2137ID G.M[RocKy] SROServer1.2 Remove-Filter Request abusefilter.txt nullbytes GC0x2137ID/G.M[RocKy] gwgt1.joymax.com SROServer1.2 ForceRequest


6. TooLZ you will need

7. Importing them back

open Pk2 Editor:

open Media.pk2:
File -> open -> Media.pk2

Pretty good guide to do all the basic stuff tht ppl want. U should probably add how to change mob names,item names etc.. tht's my favourite part.

U just have to edit a txt file once to understand it. After tht, everything seems to make sense.

hey how do u change sos to sosun?

i'm pretty sure it's in the guide. Maybe not directly but if u read the seal part, u should be able to do it.

ok i got a question in the part where u change items to sohsun u say to change the string to "system\system_raretype_a_step3_honor.efp" but for warlocks it should be system\system_rarestaff_a_step3_honor.efp when i do this i crash at login but when i dont do this the glow is in the wrong spot same with shield do u know what the problem is

You should bold out headings, to make it more organised and look better :)

This guide is pretty embarrassing.. Also, see they have 1 post? I can tell that all the information above is just copy&pasted. If you want to pk2 edit, just visit the archive at the top of the guides & tuts page, they are MUCH better than this lol.

I'm wondering where are the monster codes which textdata? Im to lazy to extract and look lol
