D2A was some dude that figured out alot of the inner workings on the game. Hacked server, has a shitload of suns, and also was one of the few ppl i know that said they would be the first to kill X unique when they were released.... and he was always correct. He was a botter, but that doesn't mean he didn't know a LOT about this game.

That's what a lot of ppl failed to understand. There are ppl who play a games to be 1# server to kick everyone's ass and laugh "hahaha noob", but there are also play games for fun and distress. If the game is no more fun, there is not reason to play. Or when the goal to be the strongest is achieved, there's also no reason to continue to play. The challenge decreases as your strength increases.
I got some bots friends who is FF 100, got a kick ass gear, not the strongest in the server but possible is one of the top players. He only logged in the game each 2 weeks only to play fortress war. Why? coz he lost his essence to play sro.
