So in my time of lurking I've seen plenty of assumption talk about how full int bow handles in pvp. Most of it bad, some of it good, the rest correct more or less. I finally decided to write this up and give you first hand exp. about how well a full int bow does in pvp.(mainly) I'll start with a few questions and answers.
Bow is based on str because most of all it's attacks has crit increase!!! Yes, it is true a lot of it's attacks has crit increase but this does not mean bow is exclusive to str. Keep reading as I explain.
Int bow is weak!! If it can't crit high, it will kill NO ONE!!! Yes, yes, yes, this is by far the worst criticism I've seen toward int bow. Let me break down how a int bow works as appose to a str bow.
Using Strong Bow with Imbue: Str Bow - 10-12k damg and with crit 20k(roughly) Int Bow(at that same lvl/similar stats) - 17-20K damg and with crit 25k (roughly)
This is based on my exp. as a 90 cap full int bow.(now 94) Int bow on average hits around the same damage of a crit of full str bow. Another comparison you can use is s/s nukers. Strong Bow and Explosive Arrow hit very close if not the same as a full int s/s nuker.
Int bow doesn't have a shield like sword users and hp passives like spear users so it's bad to use!! True! The biggest draw back of this build is that it doesn't have very good defense. Bow in general has sh*tty defense. But it doesn't mean the build is a total loss. Snow is really all you need (as a minimum of course) to win a pvp. <opinion> I like to think of int bow as a speedy killer. When I go into a pvp all I think of is how fast I can kill my opponent. </opinion> Once the snow ends, unless you have a bag of tricks up your sleeve, your pretty much dead. There are ways to over come this. (+5 gear//sos gear//running//kbX2 until snow returns) I'm also looking into methods to survive better, this is still a very unexplored build.
Here is a break down in order from total defeat to almost impossible to win when it comes to int bow v. chinese.(in snow shield)
Str Galvie: They are by far the easiest to defeat. I manage to put down a lot with just this combo alone: Explosive Arrow + Strong Bow + Arrow Combo 5+4 (yes, arrow combos kill with int bow) Str Bow: They are the second easiest to kill. Just keep spaming EA+SB+Anit Devil and they will go down in no time.(Note:This is based on 90 cap, 100 cap is very different! The second kb makes things more........annoying to say the least. I need more exp. before I can make a judgment.) Int S/S: They are basically int bow equal. To win here you need crits!(or a +7 or +9 or something) Ex. You hit the S/S for 7k using Strong Bow with snow on. If you crit, it will be around 9-10k. Do this, while following with Anit Devil or arrow combo and the battle is won. Hybrid Bow: They do a bit better damage than str bows but go down all the same. Unless they have really high snow or something, there isn't much of a problem. Int Spear: They are tricky to take down because of the higher hp. You will need lots of crits and or a great bow to do these guys in. Worst part is they have a slight chance of killing you through your snow because of their faster attack rate. Hit hard and keep them away from you to win. Hybrid Galvie/Spear: I haven't fought a lot of these guys but the ones I did, I had a very hard time against. They might have high snow on with almost 20k hp!! If you can last past their snow, the right order of attacks can take them down. Hybrid S/S: Very tough build. High hp, high defense, block, snow shield, status. This is a beast to take down, but not impossible. Watch out for his knock down because it hurts more than anything.(four stab!!!!) Get the proper crits in and/or live through his snow and take em down!!! Str Blader: This is int bow's WORST enemy!! Two reasons why, one, they hit hard on your sh*tty bow defense even with snow on, not to mention they have status. And two, their defense is great enough to gimp your damage to a tank-able level.(without them using snow)If you really want to own this build you will need a +7 or more weapon, and/or really great gear. Int Bow: You guys can one hit each other all day long. The fastest hand WINS!!!!
That's about it, if you have any questions about int bow please ask, I'll be around, lurking.
(note: This was written based on cap 90. I was using a full int bow (not FF) with weapon 85+5 full blue and gear all +3 with average blue's)
this is the only pvp vid i have seen of a full int bower, doesnt seem too good against bowers though i suspect that this guy isnt the best pvper out there Code: Select all
same here always wanted to watch a high lvl int bow pvp
Sorry guys, I never got around to making a video of my battles.(nor have I ever made a video before ) I do plan to make some eventually, but right now I'm just focusing on leveling and getting a bit more farmed.
If your really dieing to see a int bow in action, all I can offer atm is me beating down some lvl 90-91-92 or me losing to some elite lvl 94-95-96 players.

Well apparantly he has an 8 gap. The 5 arrow combo is annoying already in tht video. I wonder how long two full str bowers will go for at this cap.
well im considering turning my 74 full int pure nuker into int bower would you suggest it? and do you use anti devil move at all?
It depends what weapon you are using atm. If you're s/s then you might not enjoy the defense loss. But if you're spear then a little loss in hp won't be so bad.
I use 2 anti devil moves back to back because they are fast and they crit often. That and strong bow are usually what finishes off people.

I don't even think it's worth it for 2 100cap str bows to pvp, they would be knocking back each other for hours and never killing.
I've only watched one int bow pvp before at the 90 cap and only saw him fight euros. He actually did pretty good, made me consider the build for a split second, but it's not really my kind of build.
