GG.EPVPERS
Epvpers Has been atacked By DB7
They have? lol All I found on epvp was this
Spoiler!
Sorry I havent updated in a while but this post can include some good news and bad news depending on how you take it, but there has been no effect towards the "ESRO Server" as I would say.
jMerliN recently left the team for reasons to make and implement his code into SREmu and has wanted to make it open source. This has rather upset us in a way that he left, but its now open source, since it was basically his work, it was really his decision so do not blame him. But good news for other people they have the chance to host their own servers with SREmu.
The plans for the Emu will have basically everything thats been mentioned throughout this whole getting an ESRO server up topic will still be included and we will have to use this source but do not own it in the same way. We will add some our own work to it when the time is ready.
The beta will still be hosted with 50-100 people. We will collect all bugs and foward them to SREmu, so would be some partnership in a way, in testing there source.
The good thing its open source it can be finished much quicker with more coders working on it. I will still go out recruiting C++ coders to help with this source to get it finished quicker as this isnt a 1 man or 2 man job thats what people need to understand.
But the server will still be the same, ownership has slightly changed and has become open source. We still hope a lot of people will play on this server as of the publicity it has recieved so far and IMO will be a great server as on our Forum we have listened to the publics ideas in what they want to get the best for the game play.
The source so far is very stable to hold many people, but functions in game are required to be added now, skills needed for this are basic c++ and networking. Some of the ESRO team will be helping out with the source.
But the server will still have all the same capabilities and stats.
We have planned on great hosting, costing from 200€-300€ a month, this could hold 2-3 servers of 2000. But we think these prices are easily manageable from the amount of players this server will recieve.
We have planned ahead everything, the road is set. Now will help SREmu. But some features in game work, character creation, saving character points, dropping items and is logged in database, this is to be improve, to make this achieveable to work for 100's-1000's of players.
We hope the beta will be soon, but this always depends.
If you have any C++ or networking skills dont hesitate to contact me.

You can buy silk with in-game gold. if u can make Prem and every another thing that give the player a "more power" not active or w/e in pvp, cuz it doesnt realy look fair. i hope u get my point.. xD

Well some other euros do i guess, since having a chinese char instead of a euro does slow the party down (ex. having a chinese nuker rather than a nuker). The difference probably wont be a lot but there will always be some people who think that since chinese have no delay pot, they are MEANT to solo

Something close to that. I wish people would follow it.
If you will do this. You wont have any profit first month, becas nobody will know for server. Look at original games that big company are advertising them. They always advertise game before its even maded.

Yea, big companies advertise their game, when they've already got it complete half or so with the intention (and money) to continue making it. The companies you are talking about aren't a bunch of 16-18 year olds... Though it seems Esro if ever up, would be run by 16-18 year olds, just like Ecsro.

Since eSRO will now be cSRO based... Will you be using the current version of cSRO v1.138? Because I all ready have cSRO and would like to know if I would need a whole new client or what.

well this is un-decided yet, it could be just an edited pk2.
But reasons why we may have our own files, a different client/launcher, indepth pk2 edits, we will try to limit the way in which people have to download huge files and it just updates via the client.
But i think there is high chances it will be our own files you need. ATM we are connecting to each other via editing our hosts file.
I will post some good progress soon. but all has been going well past few days.
