 Post subject: 140 cap or a 150 cap

1st question
where do you personally think the cap should end i my self would rather it finish at 100 for the Chinese with only have 300 mastery limit (it gives more balance to them having more than 2) and euros are only supposed to have 2 so it dose not matter to them anyway. ok back to the question when do you think the level cap should end (also in ksro 100 cap has a fair bit of end game content already)

2nd question
my second question is why does everyone think that 140 will be the final cap i think it will be 150 because it makes more sense with Chinese characters again.

Chinese AND euros are meant to have only two masteries.

I'd make lv.120 as final cap...
Why? Because the exp/sp requirements are too high.

Chinese is going to need something new in order to be more balance against euros, cause those Warrior/cleric are overpowered, mine with +7 weapon and +5 set beats sun user in my server.

I think my last cap would be 100... Like Nitro said, the exp and sp requierments are very high, and if JM won`t change it, theres no point to go on... And from what Konpaku had on his website, chinese will get new skills.. Bower and Glavier will get for sure. Not sure about blader, but meh, he wont need any of them since he`s gonna be invinsible when he gets the new chain...

Are any of you employed by Joymax? You state a level cap as fact when as of currently there is no ultimate cap listed anywhere on the website, in the game or any of its affiliates.

We can make reasonable guesses, but dont state it like its fact when no one really knows. Do I have to start the "SS or it didnt happen" bs again? lol

I personally would say that its probably gonna be 150cap, for they state in thier help menus that characters are supposed to have 2 masteries. As current china cap of 300 masterys you divide that by 2 and you get 150. 150 is also when Euro equals China in amount of mastery levels obtainable.

Now do I want to grind to 150cap oh f#$% no. I would be happy at 100 cap and the release of islamic race and the rest of the maps opened.

Let me highlight the key word there.

Because he has already stated that these are people's thoughts, it isn't necessary to put the words "I think" in their answer. He set the premise, they answered.

Even still, Amalie is the only one whose answer is a definitive statement, but that's covered because OP asked what we think. Everyone else's is purely speculation.

I would prefer it to be 100. The SP and time needed to reach 150 would be a lot. But I think it might be 150. Why?.... each lvl cap after 70,.. the high levels have nothing to do but stand around with their hands in their pockets. All they do is log on to talk and job wars then leave again for a few weeks (months even). They stand around waiting for the next lvl cap because that is all thats left.

If Joymax was to ever announce that lvl 100,120 is the end, lots of people would race to get there and then quit. We'd see a sharp decline in players since there is nothing to do once u get to the caps. Joymax will milk us all the way to 150. 1 cap every year. It makes financial sense. Because their attempts to keep high lvls occupied (Fortwars/CTF) is not working out. Just my thoughts on the matter.

whats wrong with you people god.. it will be 150 cap
2 skill trees at 150 is what most will end up with..
150+150=300 2 Chinese trees
you go up 2 points for each lvl with euro

they may only have data in the files for 140 cap but that dont mean that 140 is the cap they do update there files as you all know..

and it had also been said on the main site by morningdew that the cap is planed for 150..

just stop and think it all points to 150 cap

^ if they dont take care of the bots, people will lose that longing to sit and play "connect" with the login window and Joymax will have to shut it down.

I cant imagine any new people starting in a year or so who would be fascinated of the game and want to see its end.

Cap might go to 150, but will the players: the hazy crystalball says.. most likely not

Yes.
Lets think about it. This game is 4 years old and very few players that played from the start actually play now.
we got (roughly) one cap/year. That would mean that we would get 120 cap in 3 years (probably even more with all "fake" updates like Legend 3+).
The game will definately be dead within 3 years.

Ksro wil update this year the new 110 cap,so 120 maybe next year?
For isro it would take us 3 years then,if my calcul are correct,we should have
cap 100 this years,next years 110 cap(always less than 1 year of delay between ksro).

There are multiple ways to keep your customers. Two of the primary ones are:
Grinding
Endgame

You can have the grinding and not have the endgame. In this case, it takes a long time to reach the cap, so you keep your customers longer.

Or, you can do away with the grinding and keep the endgame. In this case, people reach cap faster, but they'll stick around for the endgame content.

(Maybe you can have both, but I haven't seen any game that does that.)

So far, the former option has been the case for most MMOs, Korean ones specifically. But with the dawn of other games such as WoW, the second option is becoming more popular.

For SRO, the endgame content is mediocre so the actual gameplay is grinding. They're sticking to an old formula. Because of this, the ideal cap would be 150. Will we see that cap? I better not be on SRF by that time to check on it. >.>

How about the possible final cap? I say 110. kSRO previewed 110 for 2009. I doubt they'll ever go pass that. There are numerous MMOs coming out, and there are others that are expanding and are still strong. All these compete with eachother, including SRO.

2009 is its end. Five years is not that bad. It can reach up to 2010 for the updates to come to iSRO. Still, 110 is probably the final.

My guess is 150 cap, and if you even look at games like WoW, they keep increasing cap and adding new end game stuff, so even if 100 cap has some end game like stuff, they can just keep adding new end game crap. Also, instead of grinding to like 150. They might do something like doing quest give a crap load of exp/sp, that way people don't kill themselves while grinding...

But like everyone else said SRO will probably be dead by then, and probably before 120 cap...

exactly. while somone might think that 3 stes of masteries would be more versitile, the maximum amount of two mastiers allows for more build variations, it will diversify the chinese race builds a huge extent. personaly, if i can stay with this stupid game long enough, i think it would be realy interesting to see how the game and builds go at the 150 cap, if i can ever even reach that....

forget silkroad i wonder if WOW would be running 6 years from now lol

oh yeah and even if there is 150 good luck handgrinding all those levels

by that time if sro makes it to 150.. only 1 guy will hand grind to 150.. lol
