This is an experience that I had way back when the level cap was 70 and SRO had a community just like any other game in every sense of the word. Botting will never offer this kind of fun…..
One day while grinding in the Karakorum, I saw a global from a couple that was dating in game that I’ve met once b4. They were globalling that they were getting married in game at Chin’s Tomb and all were invited. I’ve always find these kinds of things “interesting” in a nerdy way, and I’ve never seen one b4 so I rushed over to Chin’s Tomb to witness it. It turns out I was first on the scene. And with malicious intentions and a healthy curiosity I offered to perform their “virtual” wedding.
Few seconds later more and more players started to show up. I made my way to the top steps of Chin’s Tomb with the nerdy couple standing just below. Before we knew it the whole area was buzzing with players all came to witness the procession. It was quite a sight. There were a lot of funny remarks aimed at the whole idea but all in good fun. There was some scuffling at the back of the crowd because a few players came to the wedding wearing capes and were paying the price for it. There was also some low levels that were already in the area doing quests using the opportunity to irritate the high levels with their famous lines..”5K plzzz” ..”10K plzzzz”, but nothing much to disturb the overall ceremony was happening…not yet anyways. Just prior to starting it off I noticed a few thieves slithering through the crowd back and forth and I knew they were up to something and not of the “good” variety.
I started off the cliché words said at most weddings… dearly beloved, we are gathered here…blah blah blah blah. …..Does anyone object to this union blah blah blah… There were quite a few clever and articulate objections that warranted some laughter as we went on. “I now pronounce the two of you the biggest nerds on the server”… I said at the end..… that riled up some more laughter then all of sudden 2 thieves ran up the steps and release a couple of Pandora’s boxes both within the crowd and on the steps where the bride, the groom and me were. I started laughing so hard I fell off my chair. I saw this coming but didn’t know when. I laughed even harder when I noticed 4 big Yetis where standing around me but with their backs turned and were pounding on the groom and bride with their pointy big sticks. I was so cramped with laughter I couldn’t move my char out of the danger and ended up dying myself.
People were scattering in all directions but in vain. Resssssssssssssssssssssss!!! was the word of day as lots of people laid out littering the area. Some high lvls stayed behind to kill off the mobs and some lucky low lvls stood behind them trying to help out. It was a blast of fun and a memorable one too. The couple had no complaints because they understood.
This was just one of the fun moments I had while playing SRO and I owe it to the community. The real players. Thx.

What you do or say in any game is a small extension of who you really are. It's the anonymity that can allow them to show their true self, or who they would be if there was no "penalty" for their actions.

hmm nice story wish i was there.
i hve 1 but not sure if its that interesting...long ago...
back on redsea i was a noob blader just reached lvl 21....i had no idea what farming was just going with skills as much as i could get and i had just got the kd/stab well i thought ok lets go kill some ppl outside jangan. so i came out put on ice and started killing off some ppls when a high level came(dont really know what lvl he was or what the cap was then) and screamed out "EVERYONE under 40 go inside city"
he then used a summon scroll and brought out a takalaman skeleton monster(really dont remember name) and everybody frm lvl 10-30 stuck around to try to kill it while some high lvls kept ressing us when we died. This was actually alot of fun. Especially the drama maniacs who just ran around screaming "Some1 opened Pandora's box run for your lives!!!"
This was actually alot of fun and inspired me to grind more...until the image verification and server crouds bcame too much for me.

all a story needs to make a good thriller: trickery, theft, temptation, false promises and unfavourable relationship letdowns
i realy like your story man, it reminds me mutch, i never like that marriage thingy so mutch but what u discripe is "play the game for fun" and not just for the Gold/Gear/Sp/Build/wtf, i could write some nice storys down... if interesst pm me
Wow, that is such a nice story. I love it, bravo. It reminds us that beneath this race to be capped and the endless battles to prove our strength, we often forget about the simple pleasures in both this game and our lives. Take a step back and reflect, is all your corruption really worth it?

gold set up the bot a trap--> unfavourable bot longed for gold, but humped trees--> some needs stay unsatisfied in this relationship bot goes home(maybe dcs) and gold disappears after some time--> relationship letdowns
