Erm..
1. If you want the wolf to auto attack the monster that you're attacking, just set your wolf to aggressive. There are a few control keys above your hot keys there: information, follow, attack aggressive and etc. So, "aggressive" is the one that asked the wolf to attack whatever monster you're attacking.
p.s: if you want your wolf to attack monster manually, just point on the monster and right click attack.
2. The wolf will grow up at level 40
3. There are always Hungry(HGP) bar[yellow bar which below the health bar] there, you can feed it by buying the HGP recovery potion.

u can also set a button to make ur wolf attack or retreat in the option's
COS Atk and COS Follow (call it back) instead of having to use the bar.

My wolf is lvl 57 and just to heal it, it takes 2 x-large recovery kits, so how do i heal it when it gets to 70+ ? Do i bring enough kits with me to open my own shop?

Buy 1 stack..Doesn't matter if it's 20 pots or 50, it's still 1 slot in your inventory..Then just use it whenever he gets hit or when his hp is like half way.

The higher my wolf levels, the x-large potions will do less and less to heal it. So at level 70, 1 repair kit will only heal it by 25%. What do people do at those levels?

Wolfs are easy to heal, the healing kits heal relatively a lot, and its not like your wolf is so fragile it'dd easely die, i guess 200 healing kits is Easely enough for a (party)grinding session

Use 2 or 3 pots after eachother? There is no limit on using them, that's why I said take a stack instead of 20 or 15 pots There is no other healing option. Even the trade animals are getting healed with it and they can have over 150k hp.
