So I'm going for my Bachelors instead of my AA. But my current job cannot support for school, rent, and all my neccesities*. I work at Subway part time making 8$ an hour which is the lamest job for a 20 year old. Now I got an opportunity to work for my best friends dad in construction and gardening for 400 dollars a week. But instead of hours it's 400 for 5 days of work. Some days it can be 6 hours of work and other it can be 24 hours.
My question is, should I stay working a Subgay or should I go work for my friends dad although it'll be a tougher job?

Are you fit enough to work in construction?

I voted for Subgay due to the fact of time management. if you say you might work up to 12+ hours at the construction site, and going for your bachelors, you gonna need some time to do work. unless your job doesnt require alot of work, i would go for the construction because of the pay.
if your able to set how many days you can work at the construction job then do that, or work 5 9hour days at subgay and earn 720$ + per 2 weeks?

Basically I would work everyday except Tuesday and Thursday. Those are my school days. Sunday I'd have the day off as well because he never work on Sundays. I am fit to work construction. I'm 5'11' and I weight 185 with a muscular body. I'm actually a non professional fighter(MMA).

This is just to pay for my college, rent, girls (not prostitutes), bills, and gas.

Unless you live in a communist country, that gardening job won't be able to pay all of that let alone give you time for school.

I pay 50$ for phone bill. I don't pay for my food and other bills. So 350$ so far. College is what gets me. Books are like 300$. Financial takes care of my classes. The rest would go to clothes and school.

Working long hours + College = Disaster.
I would do like others said here, get an on campus job relative to your major (i.e if you're in computer science, work at the lab) and try and get an internship. That way you're building up your resume here and there, while also getting the cash. Some internships pay really well.

I got stressed enough when my job made me do 25 hours the other week, while at college. Hated it, had no time for going out etc. Back down to 15 hours a week again now though. Hardly earning me anything but its enough to pay for when i go out, and keeping my car running.. so i'm happy.
Basically, dont work so hard that it makes you stressed. Money isnt worth anything if your unhappy and without any time for friends.

Well if you do construction be prepared to bust your ass working. Though masonry was fun during that time of my life, cept for slinging blocks and bricks.

Get an internship related to your field. They usually pay more and it's valuable work experience.

I used to do it when I was 14, and It's not THAT hard. I mean, it is f**king hard, but after a while you get used to it and it will be as hard as working out. And you wont work over 10 hours a day, that's a guarantee. I vote for construction.

I voted subway because after working in construction you might be too tired to do your school work. I think you should try on-campus work or a big department store like walmart if you think subway is too slow.
