The simple explanation to solving the problem is to quit sro, even if it's for a short time. Joymax will see that they are losing money and that alot of players are leaving and they will etempt to fix the problem to bring back the players.

lawl no they wont, if every single person in isro quit... joymax would abbandon ship and mabey partner with aion or attempt to make a new mmo in which they can suck every bit of cash out of that one just like they did with sro.

Dude, this is Joymax we're talking about here. Like me, you people should give up on thinking that Joymax will actually change Silkroad for the better.

In Xian they drove Chinese legits to bot/quit.
Xian is a toilet bowl anyway.

I'm not sure that's totally accurate. If any normal?company is losing money, they will try to fix the problem.

But Joymax doesn't care...It'll be weeks before they even notice. And after a few weeks the people that boycotted this game will realize it's pointless and will return...

If there are so many problems in SRO, what's the point of staying?

I'd actually advise to play SRO rather then watch porn. Porn is quite addicting and can ruin lives and/or marriages

Good option OP :>

Game is terrible. Let alone the support for it is even worse. Seriously, try WoW or something at lvl80 and see what this "FREE" mmorpg is missing in content. So much PvP and PvE end game content and things to do in good MMO's. Silkroad is just level level level.

OMG,if ur only level 33 and don't have any higher lvl characters, get out while you still can. I can't leave cause all my friends and brother are on there. Go play Venus or some new server. Honestly, you should have created you char. on a different server.

Olympus: the bot server.

anyway, joymax isn't gonna fix anything. they're making money so they don't care.

the problem with silkroad is not the bots, but the GOLD bots. when there is a player bot, typically they babysit and the only time they AFK it is when they're sleeping, so its almost as if they're playing. the difference with the gold bots is that people run 50 of them on one computer because they're clientless and CHEAP. a player bot adds 1 slot to the server, and lets face it, if there were no players bots the servers would pretty much be dead. now the gold bots, they farm gold, put it in gold storage and keep going until they get banned, then new accounts made. if Joymax could find a way to prevent clientless bots, you would see a MAJOR increase in activity in all the servers.

^ don't take that as bot support, i'm just saying it as it is.

For three years I have been a member of these forums. For three years, there have been posts about the legits dying away, leaving, becoming botters, whatever. There have always been people asking about the future, and they always see it as bleak. I left SRO for about 2 years and I just recently returned. They have since released a pretty cool expansion, and the number of servers has at least doubled. Yes, bots and gold farmers are still a problem, but when haven't they been? I see no discernable difference from then until now...except for the fact that since I'm playing Euro now, I don't see full str glaivers running around in armor anymore.

I'm not saying that the fears aren't warranted, but after years of trials, this game is still here, and so are the legits. Enjoy it for what it is.

Grind on.

iSRO died long ago. It will probably be revived when JoyMax sees what they've done. Other SRO versions do not have bots such as vSRO. But, there language isn't English.

It has come to my attention that this game is getting alot harder to play for legit players.

A few points;
- Skills now require ~ 5k to level up.
- New bot appears
- Bots draining all the slots on servers making playing without prem impossible.
- Competing with the botters costs even more (Devil Suit + Avatars + Premium)
- Not to mention Pet and Skill ticket..
- Huge KS in most areas of the map make solo training near impossible.
- Gold and item buyers acquiring full sun sets.
- Less and less partys every day make party grinding that much more difficult.
- Job systems dominated by high level botters.
- Legit communities (on my server) dying due to the reasons above. (did they ever exist?)

Alot has changed since this game begun. Unfortunately, it seems things have got worse.

It seems now that to enjoy silkroad you have to be a botter. With a look at the SP requirements for 100cap, i have decided to break the cycle while i can and leave this game. It is also becoming more and more apparant that people are feeling the same as me, people making posts entitled "Byebye Silkroad" etc. I will never be able to quit my addiction of Silkroad, i will always come on when the traffic is low at 3am or something for a quick pvp or trade. But i very much doubt i will ever play seriously again, and i most certainly wont be embarking on my quest for Lvl 100 and even 120 which you speak of now.

People turning to botting is certainly not the answer though. It's almost just taking the selfish easy way out of things while making everything for all the rest of us harder. Unless Joymax sort out their bot banning, i foresee alot more people leaving. With speculation of 100 being just around the corner, what will happen to legitimate communities? Not just on the server but these very Forums aswell. With the No tolerance on botters, many people will be forced out of here. I know there will always be people willing to play the game legit, no matter what the highest level is, but there aren't many. Has anyone thought what these forums will be like at 120cap? So many people are posting 10-12D topics when we are only months into 9D. Its amazing seeing what we 'could' look like if we botted, but seriously only a handful of us will ever reach the next cap, and i dread to think about the caps to follow. What state will these forums be in? Will there come a point where botters will have to be tolerated to sustain a thriving community?

Dont take from my post that i am for botting. In a perfect world nobody would bot, but this is Joymax. I have merely learnt to put up with them.

There is a scary and unpredictable future ahead for us.
I wish i could find these answers in my pk2. :P

Discuss

These types of threads are nothing more than indirect advertisements for bots. People like this list every "negative" of this game, and mention a new bot, with the intent to get people to search for it. They try to make it seem like our gaming experience is "in competetion" with botters. Like our gaming is just as involved with botting as a botters gaming is. This way people begin to relate to the concept of botting and begin to justify it to themselves. A legit player doesn’t play to impress or supercede cheaters. The cheaters gaming standard is not that of a legits. And if the actions of others truly and genuinely are going to cause you to quit the game, then its obvious you are the one with the issues. Though id bet not playing this game would be the best thing for some people.

Anyways, happy MLK day everyone.

I don't think I will quit because of the bots. I am a legit player of Pacific (still lvl 62). It just is so frustrating to log in during the times when I have free time, because of Bot traffic. A lot have been said about the Bots. I have even submitted a business proposal that would make a lot more money for Joymax, and that would take the BOT problem by the horns(IMHO). But as it seems, the problem will always be there.

In any case, don't you worry, there will always be legits left... they won't die out. At least one in Pacific will be left. I love the game. I guess all the responding people here do too.
