This man speaks the truth. The password is usually encrypted before it even leaves your computer.

But still, somebody may change the forum code to not encrypt passwords. But it's true, usually passwords are md5 encrypted.

the vbulletin use a md5 hash + a salt both together and the salt is different for every user.
Also rev6 is known to not steal password...
Been what 3 years that they have been releasing illegal tool and they haven't once did a massive account hacking.

Though no matter what, people should use a stupid password while subscribing to a 3rd party forum and not there silkroad password, I must agree with you.

You can't become popular if you hack your own community.
