So what does the attack rating number actually stand for?

eg. A crit of 9 I believe means the weapon will crit 9% of the time. Or a block ratio of 16 means it will block 16% of the time.

But what does the attack rating of 175 on my weapon actually mean?

thx

i cant tell how what 175 is in terms of a percentage but i can tell you...the higher the attack rating...the more damage you will do on AVERAGE (eg. your minimum damage is 100, your maximum damage is 300, the higher your attack rating is...the more often you will hit near the 300 side rather than 100) and parry is pretty much the opposite of attack rating, the higher the parry...the lower the damage you will take on AVERAGE

Yeah thks for that, but i know that. I'm wondering if someone knows what the numbers actually mean. So one could calculate which specs are better.

I don't know a formula or something but if you're attack rating is higher then your opponents (for instance in pvp). You'll hit more towards your max dmg on that target, and he'll hit you for the average or more towards is min dmg.

Most of us know the theory behind attack rating and parry ratio. No one has hard numbers or a formula that shows the influence. Personally, I haven't been able to see the difference while grinding.

This is best explanation, I wanted to say that too.
