I was thinking about making a force archer or the classy warrior. Whats your opinion on what I should take? ( or should i post this and bump the offishal thread? :? )

Warriors are good for new players. They are also sort of overpowered at the moment so, yea... Good choice.

Sorry for being a bother but I would appreciate it if you posted the link to the place where the program was uploaded to (and can be downloaded from).

Thanks again =p

He said its still a work in progress but everything is fine for the most part.

@Da_realest

I've always played warrior in most of the MMOs i've played and never an archer. The archer right now is what class i'd really like to take. So unless the archer is that bad il take warrior like you said. So what im basicly saying is Is the archer a descent choice? Is it fairly good in most PvE and PvP? thanks for the replys.

Yup, its a decent choice.

Here's a guide.

Between all the classes in Cabal, I'd say the WA and FA are on top since they're pretty easy to use...and yes, overpowered. Warriors are the strongest close/mid-range class and F Archers are the strongest long/mid-range. But that doesn't mean that other classes can't kill them. A huge chunk of that comes from how well you can control your character. You don't need uber gears to kill other high levels in cabal..a decent non-osm/forcium Amp/DB set will do the trick if you play your cards right.

Compared to SRO, you have a much bigger chance of killing a high level who has a bunch of really expensive godly items in Cabal.

And thanks a lot Realest.

I'm usually either on Feitan (WA) or Astarot (FB). If you have any questions, just PM me.

And Realest, did your guild leader, Manny, quit your guild? I had a few PK matches with him yesterday but he was in another guild :?

My IGNs are FatalSilence and DarkLust. I'm usually on all the time so if I'm not on one character, I'm on the other.

We switch guild leaders about everyday but Manny is the real guild leader. Sometimes he leaves to help out another guild. Right now he is back as our guild leader. We just won 2 guild wars today. lol

I was playing Hovorun with someone today that's why I wasn't online in either characters. Yeah, if people are offline and you try to PM them, it'll tell you that the user is either offline or non-existent.

@Realest:
lol. my guild only has 4 members. me, my girlfriend, an old semi-active member, and a lower level member who doesn't talk a lot. the rest of them left after about 3 months or so to make their own guilds or join major guilds. idk why but i never liked the idea of joining major guilds since i really don't like others imposing rules on me on an online game.

I can join your guild if I reach requirements 8)

EDIT: I've just reached the arppentice level for the FA, and I need help chooseing skills. I've gotten the vitality upgrade and critical shot so far as Realest told me to do. What other skills ( magic and one other mastery thing ) should i get?

Sure. I really don't care about requirements. I just need trustworthy people who could fend for themselves.

lol My guild has no rules besides a level requirement to join. Everything else is to be expected. Be nice to each other, help each other out, etc.

Anyone know if the first Zombie Lynxhorn sample thing is bugged? i'm doing that quest now, and ever since level 12, its from the officer in bloody ice. I just turned level 15 and got the second lynxhorn zombie quest from the officer in the green town, and im not sure if I could get the sample if I cant in the first lynxhorn sample quest.

1) I think it is, but de gustibus et coloribus non disputandem est.
2) On the EU server: Yes
3) There are a nice amount of skills but you won't use them all in the end. Certain classes use more skills than others.
4) It is fun and you can party. Party'ing boosts exp and is needed for certain dungeons.
5) PvP, daily nation wars, dungeon runs
6) In the beginning, most skills look boring, but it gets better at the end. Scenery is nice
7) See answer 1 though it's been ages since I last player Rappelz, what I only played for 2-3hours.

Huh...I thought SRO died a long time ago. But anyway..

1. Gameplay and service, yes. Graphics: skills and design, yes. Environment: SRO's is slightly better.

2. Lol..yes 24/7 unless they're having a major maintenance. They don't even have to shut the servers down for most of the maintenance done.

3. Yes..just don't mind the bullshit player-made rules in PVP like "no fade step" or whatever. Do you what you have to do. Most of the high levels have a main 3 to 4 skill combo routine but could deviate at anytime to fit the situation (eg. using long range if the enemy goes out of range, using AOE attacks, using zooming attacks, etc). The combo system really changes the gameplay especially for PK/Warzone matches.

4. Like any other game you can start to get bored if you're playing alone. It's good to party and do dungeon raids, chaos arena, and mass-pvp in nation/guild/war channel battles. You won't really need to party up while grinding at the lower levels but as soon as you can enter Lakeside Map at 110 (don't worry, leveling is pretty easy), it's almost mandatory that you organize a party when you train, otherwise you'd end up dying a lot and gain exp slowly.

5. Dungeons (party and solo dungeons), war channel, nation war, guild war, chaos arena, boss-hunting, PKing people, doing quests (the story quests involves a lot of dungeon raids and the story line is pretty well made and creative).

6. The environment is pretty good. Not mind-blowing good but still pretty good. The skills and character/item designs are well-made. Unlike SRO, you can make your character pretty distinguishable even when they can't see your name if you're in a "warzone" area or channel. Some guilds that have KOS orders on me actually recognize my character in war ch even if they don't see my name =S

7. I never played Rappelz but that's a matter of preference. I like how Cabal has a huge variety of things to do other than grind and get pwned by Sosun-wielding botters in pvp/jobs. And even in higher levels, you don't have to spend hours and hours trying to get like 2% of your exp up.

Nation War:
Code: Select all

Dungeon Sample (Tower of Dead):
~I was pretty disappointed that I couldn't find the video I saw before I started playing Cabal because youtube was flooded by a bunch of these fcking noobs posting "solo dungeon runs" because they think they're the shit 'til someone smacks them dead. Anyway, this will do:

Code: Select all

1. Yea. There are gold bots and spammers like sro, but not as many. Just report them and GM will ban them. They can be slow at times...
2. Yes.
3. Yes.
4. Yes. Unless you have great gear, you can't do the 105+ dungeons alone. No one can do the 125 dungeon alone. In fact, no one has beat it yet on the NA or EU version. Challenging....
5. PvP.... The grinding starts getting like sro at about 140+ but its like 5x sro. I think it goes down to 7x sro rate in order to hit the cap. Also, level isn't really all that important in Cabal.
6. Yea. Its more of a cartoon-like art style, though.
7. Yea, its better than rappelz. Right now we have an event that gives a 200% skill exp boost all day and at certain times its a 300% boost.

1. Probably at mid-high levels yeah
2. Pretty much :D
3. Yep, but you dont use most.
4. Yeah, i've had non stop questing at level 20 and you dont have to farm sp or gap.. lol :D
5. Pvp,dunegons and alot more..
6. Yea
7. Never played it before

Anyways, some questions of my own.
1. How much are the event drop cards worth?
2. Upgrade core? ( small or low, w/e, the lowest )
3. Should I get precision for my Force Archer, I dont use combos much, and I'm only maxing the armor, and critical shot so far.

1. Not sure about the ones below 5 but Miracle Key 5 can sell for 7M more or less. Just keep the lower ones and try Chaos Arena sometime.

2. Venus server: Low 150k, Med 300k, High 1.7M, Highest 30M.

3. Get all your buffs IMO but Realest would know this one a lot better than me.

Yea, get all your buffs. The novice regeneration buff is optional. The sharpness buff is also optional.
