I was trading yesterday of course, and they go for 100k + 25-30e. With the Ursan nerf torment item prices have skyrocketed, and there's a new buff coming in a couple weeks that will allow you to put torment items in your hall of achievements of whatever it's called, that will add to the price again. edit: I just got a new toy, q9 fellblade 15>50 inherant/tyrian

My search for the gauntlets of power.Four or so days ago my journey began. I had heard of gloves brimmering with energy, endowed with a divine light. Before searching for these gauntlets, I began to prepare my monk to harness their true power. Several days past, I had tried my hand at selling a number of rare weaponry; notably caster chaos axes, as well as fortitude pommels and grips. My pockets began to line themselves with gold, but the market quickly became overcome by a flood of migrant merchants. I then decided to travel to doomlore shrine, as I heard of the great riches that came with vanquishing the undead queen herself - Murakai. At first I dwelved into these dungeons by my lonesome, but I quickly began to take paying adventurers into the depths of the tombs. After many trips, my storage began to fill. It filled to the point where finding the infamous ectoplasm to craft my gauntlets was one of the few tasks left in my saga. I had travelled across Tyria, all the way to the gates of the Underworld - The Temple of Ages. There I found two shaken men, willing to rid themselves of their ectoplasm for a generous share of my pocket lining. I then set off into the great mountains North of Beacon's Perch. At the time of the year, the only possible, yet perilous, passage through the peaks was rooted in Ascalon. I had met a man named Arnaud in the seared city itself, he survived the battle of Rin, and managed to safekeep many a pile of glimmering dust. With this last reagent I had all that was needed to craft my destiny. As soon as I reached the shiverpeaks, I began to descend into the tunnels that hollowed the grounds of Tyria. In what was utter darkness, I pushed to a stone doorwar. And as my reputation as a bold dwelver, and vanquisher of Murakai herself spread throughout the continent, the great dwarves granted me passage to the Central Chamber. There I came face to face with the reknown and mystical crafter, Gobrech Stonefoot. Without a word he took my reagents and mumbled a sutra-like phrase. He had given birth to my chaos gloves. The pair to rule them all, to conquer the vast wilderness Tyria, and her ring of fire; to dethrone Shiro of Cantha, and ascend to the stars; to liberate Kourna and Vabbi, and lay a path into the desolation itself. It is in the Desolation where the gloves shall slay the shadows of darkness, it is in Desolation where my destiny lies.

But what I would suggest, is to use a +15/-1e inscription on a wand and offhand if you have high soulreaping. My necros get almost 90 energy so they don't have problems spamming spells/minion master, and in PvE there's lot of energy coming from soul reaping. PvP is a different story though. My next thing to buy is a protection staff. I don't know if I should get a ghostly or just splurge on a tormented one. Would be nice for my monk to have that chaos axe + shield and a torment staff.

So.... I woke up today. Did some CoF runs. Was pulling about 20k a run, did this for a couple hours. Was itching to buy a ghostly prot staff for my monk, but it's impossible to find people selling them. So, I decided i'd just save up for a tormented protection staff. I looked around a bit, did my homework, and no one sells them. I would have to buy an ambrace (100k + 30e going price, 220k @ today's price). After doing some math, I sold my warrior's sword, salvage his shield mods sold those, sold my green protection staff, and got lucky with a CHEAP ambrace. Bought it, modded my staff, and i'm set =] I'm soooooooooo happy

i'm gonna start good ol prophecies again to kill the boredom. Does a single person even play that anymore? or is everyone on the newer versions? =(. Also, does anyone have any tip for class mixes?
EDIT: yea, i had to delete all of my characters because the names were so pathetic, I was 10 or so when i made them. I couldn't respect playing a character named "Dragon Lord Or Doom" >.>. So tips on classes would be cool =D.

I only like the tengu staff. I checked out the charr sword, axe, shield, and spear. I don't like the sword and shield, the spear is cool, and the axe looks great with my warrior. I was going to get mursaat caster items for my monk, but I don't think I will. He already has 4 sets of weapons. I might delete my ele (one of my mules) and make a paragon though, or mesmer - will use bonus items on them.
