You can't have something like this because the economy is always changing. For example, last night I sold a 56 bow with 9 crit for 1 Mill, no plusses no blues. WTF you say? Well there aren't many bows on the market right now, and definitely not too many with high critical. Now a 56 glaive with 9 crit would probably only go for 300-500K. This may work early on, but later on your going to end up losing a lot of gold.

whats funny is you say you'd end up losing money, did you look at the formula? not knowing the npc buyback price on your bow, i'll use the level 52 bow as a reference retail.

766,000 - 50% approx = 383,000. (383,000 x 2)(base) + (crit9 or 383,000 x 2) = 1,532,000.

so based on his formula you undersold!

maybe with some more input i could adjust it in the program to bring it down a little because 1.5 seems high but since i am not in those markets yet to see it first hand.

now i am not saying you can get that much for it but it's still better than nothing, which is basically what the market is based on right now. everyone just pulls a number out of of thin air and says this is my price. alot of the stalls are looking to get rich quick off the uninformed.

and to those who say the market is always changing i agree, trust me finding a good level 16 bow is not fun at a low price. so maybe the formula should have different options for different levels that are highly sought after.

i will agree with you on the defense vs offense. again maybe it should include a weapon vs apparrel option instead of the market pressure option. weapon being worth what it calculates now and apparel being 50% of that price?

i know i am long winded on this subject, just trying to help others out just like i do in the game. so far i have had a blast playing and helping other new players like myself.

LOTS to add to this one: (three cheers for topics i like!!)

in my experience, high crit bows are much more rare than the other weapons. you lucked out of you bought those at decent prices. a crit 8 bow is a great find, and a crit 10 bow (highest i've personally seen on a bow) is almost priceless at higher lvls. these are the kinds of weapons whch aren't sold, but are passed down through guilds because of their rarity.

I found a level 38 crit 10 bow recently, clean and no blue, if I was wanting to sell it how much do you think it should go for?

I used this guide last night to set up a stall before i went to bed, when i got up everything was sold, so it must've worked...

I also noticed someone else using it when he priced a lvl 18 9 crit glavie for me to buy. I tried to offer a lot less, but figured from the guide it'd be worth the cost.

I use this as a guideline while I try to figure out market forces.

hmmm...people on Aege must be cheap. lol

I left my stall up all night and didn't sell a thing. :(

I think this guide is great, I've always 2x purchase price for base, but was trying to put it into practice when it comes to the +, int/str and crit and it just seems too high to me.

Examples:

Lvl 35 Lords sword with crit 6
Purchase price 70k. Base 140k, crit 6 70k = 210k

Lvl 37 M Iron Hard Scale Armor + 2
Purchase price 48.5. Base 97k, +2 97k = 194k

Lvl 34 F Phython Blood Boots +2, Int 1
Purchase price 27k. Base 54k, +2 54k = 108k

I just don't see the above selling for the prices I'm coming up with.

Comments, suggestions?

After the "base price" multiplier, he means that you add whatever amount is listed to the total price. For example, say I have a glavie (which, it's been bugging me so i need to say it, is misspelled- the correct spelling is glaive) that sells to the store for 6k and has a crit of 6. The base price is 2 times 6k = 12k. Then it gets + 1x for having the crit 6. That means 12k base price + 6k for the crit 6 = 18k total. If that same glaive had a crit of 5 or less, i wouldn't add anything for the crit and the price would just be the base price, 12k.

Because it was developed by a major corportation, not a single person that no ones knows enough to trust.

i think the NPC is selling the stuff, usually weapons and armor at 3x the price you sell it back at the NPC. So for example, a lvl 24 glavie sells at the npc for 62-65k. but when u sell it back to the NPC the NPC buys it from you at 25k. At this point a default weapon would sell in the market for about 55-60k makes sense to me, since the player could very easily buy from the NPC for 62-65.

I have used this simple equation as a guide and have done well selling my items. I am only level 26. But I have used it since I started playing and has worked very well for me. A nice starting spot for new players to make some money and not have to spend hours and days trying to figure out what the economy is.

On Babel this has worked fine for me up until I reached about lvl 20-23. Things sold quick in Jangan but, applying the same theory to selling in Donwhang just doesn't work. The prices for everything work out about 30-40% more than the current economy.

For example, I had a Glavie (lvl 24 or 26 I think) that based on this method should be sold at 93k (approx). When checking prices for similar Glavie's at other stalls they were not sold at more than 60k. I tried anyway and, after 7 hours of the stall being opened, nothing I had sold.

I'd be interested to know if it works at higher levels on other severs.

i was setting up a stall and realized one of my glaive was a lvl 21+4. im not even on lvl 21 yet, but i was wondering how much would this be worth? should i keep it? the crit is pretty low like around 4 i think.

im not sure how much a lvl 21 glaive cost, because in jangen the npc doesnt sell lvl 21 weapons.

I really like this idea for finding base prices to go off of. On Olympus the initial post were a bit to high to sell successfully in many occasions. Currently I'm using the following values using the same math:

BASE PRICE - Sell to NPC price * 2

PLUSSES
+1 = .5 x NPC
+2 = 1 x NPC
+3 = 1.75 x NPC
+4 = 2.5 x NPC
+5 = 3.5 x NPC
+6 = 6 x NPC
+7 = 10 x NPC

INT/STR
(Int + Str) * .5 = ?? x NPC

CRITICAL
6 = .25 x NPC
7 = .5 x NPC
8 = 1 x NPC
9 = 1.5 x NPC
10 = 2 x NPC
11 = 2.5 x NPC

BLOCK
15 = 1 x NPC
16 = 2 x NPC
17 = 2.5 x NPC
18 = 3 x NPC

Lvl 34 F Phython Blood Boots +2, Int 1
Purchase price 27k. Base 54k, +2 54k = 108k

With the values I use the "stall price" on those items would be:
-- L35 Sword Crit 6 = 157,500
-- L37 Scale Armor +2 = 145,500
-- L34 Boots +2, Int 1 = 94,500

A big difference in some cases. Just keep in mind that you need to use some common sense when pricing your items still. No matter what values you use there will always be descrepencies. For instance I can move bows a lot easier and for a lot more than I can swords! Have fun. Hope this helps some people.

Anyone figured yet good modifiers to those items that have custom alchemy stats like critical parry, block parry, HP etc.? Currently just the element costs for one stone are for example for degree 5 about 175k-470k...

If you want to sell fast 150k, if you want to sell for "market price" and don't mind stalling one or several nights until you sell, then maybe 500 K. First price is cheap obviously but will sell fast for sure. :D

It's a good weapon, like half sos or so, plus the excellent str/int stats, that make it almost like 2 gold dragon flags (dunno why they are so overpriced, really)... but people is willing to spend millions on sos weapons and GDFs and, for some strange reason, won't pay a fraction of that for this quite good item.

Btw, what critical? For some people crit is very important and may not want that weapon if it doesn't have at least crit 6. Others may look at phy. attack... or both.

I did download it and it is more than legit. It's awesome. Congrats and thanks for making this! Better than a bookmarked page in the thread ;)

Just out of curiosity, what did you use? VB or ?

Use the stall network system and compare the price of what you have to sell with what is in the system. this way you will always be sure you are not selling too low or too high. This way you can adjust your price depending on the stats of similar stuff being sold.

Check the ratio of the npc buy back price of your drops with the npc selling price for 7 and 8 degree stuff. you will see that the *2 does not apply. on certain weapon it's even *10

On an euro weapon lvl 64 the npc gives me 390k and sells it for more then 3 m

Pretty good guide...but doesn't work below fourth degree because people don't want to pay much for those items.

As for me...I rather sell a little bit cheaper and make a little less profit...That way I can sell faster.
