 Post subject: Warrior Cleric; two questions

Ok, first question:
What to wear?
Either heavy armor or robe, I'll not be seen in light armor lol.
I'm thinking heavy armor.. most mobs are phy based,
on the other hand robe gives that nice MP consumption and speed boost.

Second question:
Do I need to max str/int?
Reason I ask is because I have a rogue cleric already.. I do have the str/int maxed, but I don't use it very often in parties. Usually daggers with DD.
As a warrior, I plan to play as a warrior in parties always.
So would maxing those skills be a waste of SP?
I farmed 610k sp at ongs, so I do have enough SP is I must max it.

2H sword, and 1H for parties btw.
Oh, one more thing.. should I max all the 1H skills? As a warrior just needs to control aggro, does having the skills maxed even have any benefit?
Do the 1H skills have any place in PvP?

For the first Question, i'd say go with HA. 8)
pulling in mobs and making them poke you is nice :twisted: , though since your a tank you can go either or.
pretty much on your taste, plus robe can give defense on magical based mobs. :roll:

second question, yes you could.
though i don't personally prefer it you do? but it'll be great if there are enough tankers.
you could be the second best cleric, though if you plan on maxing out cleric on your lvl then don't :banghead: .
That's why there are clerics already ( though in my server there's only little amount of them. :x ), so you don't really need it up to you though.

i personally have no experience in 1h skills :( , though in controlling parties it could help.
eating away enemies health, while attached to you and wiz nukes can make it useful.
Seen many 1h party control though, so i guess it's preferred if you are partying.
PVP wise i'm not so sure, that's a very well tanker though :).
Test it out yourself ^^ surely you'll find it useful to pvp with or so.

1. wear heavy armor
2.if u can max it ,do it why not
3. when u upgrade a skill these one in the case of the warrior it get more aggro, in the pvp the 1h can be used against int players, or if u are dying change to 1h+vital and kb,stun till u recover hp, and also in pvp 1h can give dull(shield crush, shield trash)that slow down the oponent, and u can kb.

if you're not going LA go heavy, robes have low durability which blows for long party grinds, trying to tank with all your equipment in red isn't pretty.
you can go robe as a final set, at least on venus we have 2 wizards for every str so robes are acceptable in pvp.

if your server has enough clerics aka venus, don't bother with most of the cleric skills if you have enough sp for them and you want to go around buffing nubs i might get phy/mag def the one's that stick.

the warrior skills do hold more aggro when you level them up, you can tank with lower level attack skills, it just happens to be easier with higher level ones.

As for pvp 1hand/cleric survives, which is a bonus in group pvp; aka fortress war, guild war, trade runs, cape rapage etc.

in 1v1 2hand is easier to kill with. 1hand can win against any build too it just takes a little longer and more weapon switching and waiting for buffs to run out.

as a warrior myself i can help
1. i like the HA. For most INT builds you need mana skin + bless until the 50% snow runs out then you can one shot. Robe makes you weak vs the only builds that can tank your massive criticals. Robe is good, but if you have a robe set i would make a HA set too.
2. Get decent amount of INT. I get 3+. the one you worry about is the MP bonus. at cap you need 600 600 600 on the three pieces to easily heal yourself in PVP. Cycle + recovery is usually enough to get your HP over 16-20k, but if you have weak MP you wont be able to skill afterwards without wasting your vigor cast.
3. AFAIK you don't NEED them maxed, cuz you still get the 150% aggro increase for using the skill. get shield crush to the lvl that it gets dull lvl 9. I like the cunning stab and daring beserker maxed. Dont get past lvl 1 slash, its useless.

So your gonna not get the most powerful 1-Handed sword skill...? in what way is it useless, it is most useful for the fact it doesnt need a condition to do high damage, it is a straight forward quick damage dealer, it does not require dull, stun or sleep in order to do its damage, it does not use 10% of your HP to do its damage, and if you plan to continously spam chains against a Chinese you'd only be digging yourself into a grave, as they will not do enough to get past the pots. Daring Berserk and going into a Slash is almost as fluent is it being a 5hit chain instead of a 4 hit chain, on many occasions Slash has finished people off in PVP after a Daring Berserker, because of the high damage output on the chain coupled by a final hit which is the strongest. So ignore the comment above, the last thing you want to do is miss out on Slash.

you're warrior/lock, it works different with the cleric subclass. You'll have too much trouble killing people with 1hand, so it would work best dulling the opponent and then taking the 2hand for the rest of the pvp.

How much damage does slash do to a non-debuffed str char? like 5k-6k? Its quick and takes no Hp to cast, but during the bless / skins time you'll want to pull off as many daredevils as you can cuz nothing comes even close to its damage output.

I am pretty sure you can use Cunning Stab even when the enemy do not have a condition. It is 90%X4=360% normally and then extra damage if the target have condition. Why not use this instead of slash?
