Ok, so 70 : 70 bows and spears have video proof of being good builds...

What about a sword based build with this ratio? Theoretically speaking, it seems like a blader with a lot more damage. Anyone think this build would be any good?

It's a very interesting concept, that might just do the trick with the right build. With statuses, I think it could kill decently well, and also tank good with a moderately high snow shield and ironwall shield. I'd love to see a 70:70 sword. The only downside would be the relatively low grinding speed. It would grind slightly faster than a blader, but that's all there is to it. I have a 79% phys balance STR hybrid blader on Oasis, but I can't be arsed to start leveling it, to where I can get to 70:70 balance.

well it is your character so do what you want. but i doubt you should (unless you have great gear/weapons).

sword is already gonna have a little lower dmg than spear already and by making it hybrid, your lowering it down even more. also it'll be like having a str 70:70 blader build..which would take a while to kill anything. but never been a blader (a s/s nuker yes), so up to you.

Well, i figured since the physical, and magical abilities of a sword very near equal a bows, that it would do nearly as well.

The only difference i can see between them damage-wise is that a bow has critical increases, while a sword has different status effects that weaken both physical and magical defense, and since your a 70 : 70, you benefit from both of these.Plus, you get other things, like being able to quad stab at level 90, along with the blocks and defensive skills.

you might should think of getting force the lightning chain and the other move(forgot name)
isnt always 100% cast
but force will have 80% chance which is good for you to cast 3 stautes or more 8)

I was thinking about that, but thats one thing I'm not able to figure out.I'd either have to trade 90 fire, or 90 lightning.Since a majority of the stat points are distributed to int, then light is most likely the tree that I should keep, since it'll probably help the most.

So it's between fire, and force....and I have a hard time choosing between these two.So like a topic I made before(which only got reply(thx))I have to ask this again: Fire, or Force? Which would end up helping the most in the end?

90 cap
90 bicheon
90 force
90 light
30 fire....

well light will give more damage then fire due to mag attake buff.
and it gives speed.

but 90 force would give more damage then 90 fire...

70:70 maybe quite a hard push for a sword. push mag bal up to 75-80 maybe a better bet.

agree that light will be the main force power tree. it's a toss between ice, fire and force for the 3rd tree. if planning for the long term with the current talk of mastery max is 300 till level 150, you will eventually need to converge to just sword and light and so no point in maxing the 3rd tree. i'd probably get 60 cold, 61 fire (to get that leap in mag defence.), resulting in sword being 89 at 90 caps.

I've thought of this build once, but i've never attempted it.

But, sure, what the heck, go for it, be unique :D

90 bicheon 90 force 90 fire or light plus 30 of ice

you would be like a 1 handed warlock with the power to res your team mates should one go down

That's my build exactly: 90 bicheon, 90 force, 90 light, 30 ice. I like it so far.
