So I was asked not to use Charged Wind (wiz lightning attack, hits 6 mobs at once, with 80% chance of KB) in a couple parties recently because (I was told) it removes agro from the Warrior. Just wanted to know if this was true or just a preference of the warrior?

Another guild member and I tried this at sungs a long time ago and neither of us noticed them losing agro, ie if they where headed for the cleric and I KB, they were still headed for the cleric afterwards.

Maybe it has to do with the fact it is not weak enough to kill and not really that it REMOVES agro? It also might be that because the warriors I was partying with where agroing 10 - 30 mobs (just moved up to the caves! =) instead of the normal 4 - 10 we had at Yeti's that the warriors have a "looser" hold on the agro? idk just wanted to see what other ppl had t say about this.

I don't mind limiting the use of this skill but it seems a waste of sp to keep lvling it if I am not going to be able to use it except in emergency situations or soloing.

I know our tanks don't like it because of the knock back feature. It moves the mob away from the grinding spot and makes the party move. As for removing aggro, that I'm not sure about.

From my both cleric and wizard experience:
(I haven't solo'd a single level besides 1-20 so I think these are pretty accurate)

First, the KB really sucks. Because it moves the mobs so the warrior follows and the whole party moves with it. Second, if your warrior is tanking a lot of mobs and you do charged wind, the warrior will either follow the mobs you KB'd (if hes targeting those mobs) or the mobs you KB'd will follow you or the cleric if the warrior isn't tanking those specific mobs. Warriors lose aggro to mobs when they move away from them or when its KB'd not by them from what I've seen.

If you're doing charged wind to KB mobs away from the cleric, try to do it without KBing the warrior's mob. If you think you'll KB the warrior's mob, don't KB them because that means the cleric is in the warrior range enough for him to taunt the cleric's mobs to him. And if the warrior doesn't do that.. then leave his party because he sucks xD

If an aggro *party* mob spawns near you and starts attacking you, you're mostly likely gonna use charged wind to KB the mob away from you. My advice is DON'T DO IT. Because the party mob that you just KB'd will aggro you even more and it'll be harder for the warrior to taunt it away if he tries to. For me, I just teleport away and run to the warrior near enough so he can taunt it off me.

I never use charged wind in parties unless both warriors are gone for whatever reason and there are no one to protect me. I think charged wind is pretty much for solo and pvp.

Hope those made sense to you and helped ;p

That actully does help. I tend to use it a lot because, even if they are not hitting me, idc for a lot of mobs around me =) lol

But good points. It will just have to stay in the lonly pvp/solo section of my action bar!
