My hybrid spear.

I am making a hybrid spear, 60% phys 84% mag naked balances. I am currently trying to decide what masteries to take. I am currently 0 gapping with light only to get to caves where I will farm. For 90 cap my I will have light at 90 for sure, I can't decide on my other masteries. I have it narrowed to either 90 Heuksal, 90 Light and 90 Cold or 90 Light, 90 Fire, 90 Cold.

Help me decide please, leave reasons for your choice too.

well i think you should have
90 hueska
90 fire
90 light
30 ice

to me fire is important for a hybrid. becasue you do weapon skills which is phy so fire is important. and being mag based light is important. my hybrid spear is doing fine with 20 ice.

Yep Go 90 heuk/fire/light and 30 cold. 84% naked makes u like a 1:4.5 build which is a great spear build. You really need the HP passive and use the fire wide nuke/imbue and spear skills. 30 cold is great for snow and wear protector at 90 cap. If you want to farm less SP then go like 90 heuk/fire and like 60 cold/light or 70/50 or 80/40, with lightning being the higher mastery. Good Luck!!

Yes. 84% INT spears are great at this cap with the 80 fire / 80 light / 80 heuksal /60 build (or, 80/80/70/70), but at the 90 cap, I'd go for 87% mag. balance and maxed cold, light and heuksal.

I chose 84% because with the 55 int available on gear it boosts my mag balance to 100% and I have more health that an 87% mag balance. At 90 cap the amount of int possible on gear is going to be higher so I should be ok with nuking power still.

Light/Ice would suck really bad for a heavy hybrid like that. Why not go with something like 90 Fire/Heuksal, 60 Light/Ice, or 70 Light/50 Ice. :oops:

well ill go with the first 1, 90 hueksal.....

You need heuksal to stun so you can nuke without getting hurt.

but taking ice to 90 your better of being pure int.
cuz pure int can use the higher snow sheild and can survive the same amount of time while doing more damge with nuke.

Well definately dont ditch Heuskal, being Hybrid take advantage of the extra HP as well as the moves you can use.

I have done a heavier hybrid then that with Light/Cold and Sword. And I still did good damage

. Just depends what you're looking for in the character I suppose and how you wanna build it in the end. Alchemy is a Hybrid's best friend and what the diff is between a good and bad Hybrid.

Tankability, would go for ice
Damage, would go for Fire
