Ok, so as I was leveling, I was told 9 gapping was based on the numbers on the bottom right hand corner of the Skills tab. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: I believe it says like Mastery Total 17/28...But then I heard it was your level minus your highest mastery level (IE. Wizard Mastery Tree)

So if this is true, have I been leveling with a 0 gap. I'm lvl13 with Wizard Mastery lvl13.

Should I start over, or should I just begin gapping right now?

Is it OK if I 5 gap, instead of 9 gap?

I'm a wiz/cleric.

Thank you all for the help.

hm... 9 gap with lv 13 char is pointless...

get to at least lv 20 skills on wiz before you 9 gap...
though 9 gapping with lv 40 skills would be better since you'll have nukes/recovery division/bless to cover your low armor

looks like you're new to sro. to make sure you don't get deceived again. 9 gapping is indeed the difference between your highest skill mastery and your current 'exp' level.

the reason people 9 gap is because they want 'sp' which you need for skills. However, the leveling at 9gap is about 50x slower than at a 0 gap maybe more..

nivlam.com/euro to see what skills you want to get and how much sp it will take. nivlam.com/sp to see how much sp you can get at each level with a certain gap.

Now you're making a wiz/cleric, are you going to fully farm cleric too? with heals? that's going to take around 450k sp at level 80.

BTW, depending on which server you're on it might be better to farm 9 gap at level 69. some servers have awesome euro general parties (level 80 mobs).

wizards are meant to be farmed in parties (8/8) to farm them at such a low level will make you quit the game. what me and my friends did was 0 - 3 gap to level 69 and 9 gap at 69 for a month. now we're 80 and fully farmed.

farming in this game is no joke, it's super time consuming so make sure you can get it at a fast rate and that it's fun. On Venus server most euro legits farm at level 69 9 gap because there are a decent amount of general parties, the sp is super fast and it's fun because it's in 8/8 parties with friends. by the time you're 69 you'll have plenty of friends to chill with.

There is another way of farming 9 gap at level 24, and you get power leveled at the mob called "ongs" you'll see this sp farming going on a lot, usually 100k~500k gold per hour. It's expensive and it's not to my taste, i like hand grinding my way through the game, might take longer but it's more fun for me, up to you, just letting you know this option is available.

good luck.
