'Ssup. Yes this is about PS2. I've always connected the console to the TV with the AV cables(http://www.b2btrade.biz/images2/img482900a5e8b05.jpg) plugged in a Scart block(http://www.whitedog.co.uk/catalog/image ... dapter.jpg). However, I want to connect my PS2 to a TV without a scart entry, so I need to use the AV cables. But when I plug these 3 in on a tv, the ps2 starts up and all but it gives no sound/video. Any idea what's wrong and how to fix it?

Make sure the right Cables are in the right colors. And make sure the cable is connected to the PS2 as well. Sounds too obvious but these minor stuffs can help you, if its not the case then...weird, i never used a scart.
Does the PS2 have a reset similar to the PS3? To go from HDMI to AV on a PS3 you have to go through a 'video reset' procedure. Google and see if PS2 has the same sort of deal.
Just throwing out a guess, I didn't search google, nor do I own a PS2. But I stayed in a holiday Inn express last night.
*EDIT* Now that I look at that 'SCAT'... my suggestion probably is not right.
Also, you cannot use any other AV cables other than Ps2. I once mixed up my ps3 ones and it did this. Plugged in ps2 to play some guitar hero 2 when i was mega bored.
