 Post subject: Darkfall - NDA lifted. Launch Jan 25th

- P2P $15/month. $50 for initial digital download. Limited pre-order numbers.
- One world/server for now based in EU. NA server will come later.
- No levels. Skills based. No limit on number of skills you can have.
- FFA PvP. Full loot. No uber gear or weapons.
- Medieval FPS style gameplay. No targetting. Ping time is important. If you have bad ping you will never be able to block.
- PvP, GvG, RvR focused. Not much PvE content. PvE used to farm low/mid quality gear and weapons
- Extensive (but somewhat boring) crafting. Everything can be crafted.
- Vast world. Takes about 4 hours to travel corner to corner.
- Not really a soloable game.
- Magic skills are extensive but way underpowered.
- All builds end up being hybrid melee/archer/wizard. Pure builds won't get anywhere.
- My first fight lasted a few minutes and involved constant weapon changes, kiting, jumping, strafing. Stamina management is really important.
- Graphics are ok. The world is beautifully built with lots of places to explore. Animation is horrible though.

Yes they are very similar. I've been following both games. MO are hoping to go beta this year but I really doubt they'll make that date.

Always looks like a nice idea, never is.
Age of Conan had it and I didn't enjoy it for a bit. I thought it was going to be awesome to kill whoever I want to kill, always looking around for other players, but it just sucks balls.
