I will try it again. I beat some poor little kid running over to me in the dark. Wasn't my fault, I couldn't tell it wasn't some dog. Also got alot of guns and crap from random people hunting my ass only to have died and had to redo 2 hours worth of work.

Haven't played the game in a while though, too many others waiting in line, and then AC2 will jump the queue soon.

Although I haven't finished it, I thought the game was pretty enjoyable. I do agree with Sacchin it's a huge game, and often I just couldn't pick from all the quests and anything else to do. I like those NPC's that travel with you. I hate those ghouls, glowing or not. Never will I forget the time I walked into a building looking for loot and two of those creeps jumped at my throat. I was so startled I didn't do anything, thank god for Dogmeat taking care of them lol.

All the perks are confusing sometimes, I never know which ones to pick.

It seems like a really good game, I like the concept, the post apocolyptic-ness is awesome but it's just a bit boring to me, constantly getting lost or being poor, so much npc talking. I Don't usually have patience for that kinda stuff. Prolly why I've dropped console RPG's a long time ago.

Also got bored with Oblivion >_<

That's the peak of the game imo, was a very creative thing to put in the game. I remember fisting everyone to death at first, then I had to load from the start and follow the objectives -_- Which again consisted of killing stuff -_-

I raged trying to find Colin and got mad when I turned it off last night. But I feel compelled to play it again. Probably will. Just got the rip of the games music, really like the wasteland tracks.

Why is post apocolyptic-ness so calming, peaceful and desirable to me? I even have a huge folder of pictures D:

EDIT: And yet, I keep going back to play it.

Not stealing or not killing some people who are annoying but are not supposed to be killed is pretty hard. I almost feel sorry that I freed that one slave, acquired his reward then killed him. :(
It's also kind of hard for me to believe that even the second time I play this game, it's still really fun. Most of the games I play more than once feel kind of forced.
And I have a question about the expansions, if anyone knows... How do I actually... activate them? (Sure, I've activated them at the startup>data files, but how do I activate them ingame? That is, how do I get to those places from the expansions and do those quests?)

You should get a radio message pretty much right away after you activate the DLC.
Except for Broken Steel, thats after you finish the main story.

Why is it when I ask my robot to give me a haircut the character screen just stays black and I can't see myself? >_<

EDIT: K...now it's working. So many ugly female hairstyles. Why mostly bald? =_=

I read you can unlock new ones as you progress? Any truth to that?

It should notify you of a new quest when you install them and continue a game. You may have to go into the modules/data files window and make sure they're activated first though.

Yeah, did that but strangely I still don't get the quests. Gonna try reinstalling both the game and the expansions lol. Hope it works, otherwise I restarted the whole game for nothing :x
Oh and the characters... I actually took a girl character this time to see if there is any difference in conversations throughout the game..... Then I remembered I usually shoot everything on so it's practically no difference. :P I also continued with my trend of very pink punk-rocker hairstyles, and this game has many. Hairstyle doesn't matter that much though, as most of the time I have some badass helmet on. The charm of it is that the eyebrows are pink as well lol!

Don't think so.

Just be a rebel and wear a helmet all the time like I do.

Argh, this thread makes me want to go back to playing Fallout 3. -_-

I believe my character wears wastelander outfit with sunglasses. I got a Ghoul Mask but it's totally too ugly to wear, but I think I'll drop all my fashion statements the moment I see one of those creeps walking around. ><

Which NPC's are you guys travelling with? I stumbled upon a few but I just can't ditch Dogmeat after he saved me from a Ghoul surprise attack that startled me so much I couldn't do anything wtf.

Dogmeat in my game was killed while fighting Enclave guys before I even found him.

When I found the Enclave camp there was a dead Deathclaw and a couple dead Enclave guys, the only survivor was one of the officers and he was almost dead. Roasted the guy with a flamethrower and moved on lol.

I just discovered Deathclaws last night and I fell into this grate which forced me to go through the sewers where there was more. lol Died like 8 times -.-; (I play on normal mode) 2 Deathclaws at once is more hard then the asshole Talon company >:( Well...unless there are a shitload of them.

I'm content with my goggles~

Often when I use VATS I notice I'm nude lol I must unequip my stuff without realizing.

My friend gave me his copy of Fallout 3, and he told me there was a dog at a junk yard, so fist thing I did when I left the vault was haul ass to find him. I try to keep him alive, but sometimes when I look back to see if he's still following me, he ran off to attack some creature, or worse, a whole group, while I prefer to sneak by unnoticed. >> I wish there as an option that made him stop attacking everything.

I didn't really got that far into the game though, encountered one Deathclaw but it didn't cause me much trouble. Everyone says they're horrible so I fear I got lucky. :\

Did anyone blow up Megaton, by the way? Curious as of how many of you chose to be a meanie.
I chose the path of the saint who suffers from sticky fingers. I wanted to see the town blow up but there were too many goods to ste.. I mean borrow. On long term. Without permission of the owner.

He's found in the Scrapyard south of Minefield, maybe he's still alive.

I don't know about the other npc's, but I thought he was pretty handy, he can find stuff for you, ammo, weapons, med kits. He might run off to far though, so if you intend to keep him alive, save a lot. Best thing about him is the fact he starts growling when enemies are nearby, I have the amazing talent of not noticing anything that is not standing right in front of me lol.

*Note to self: Do not Google "Dogmeat" ever again. Add "Fallout 3".

Yay, thanks for telling me where he is! I'll go straight away when I play later ^^ Only friendly dog I found was Four Score lol

I get shot at alot and there are no red marks on my meter, kinda annoying sometimes, that enemies have to be at a certain range, but it's all good. I really love this game.

Code: Select all

That's messed up LOL

Don't have to go far to see a Deathclaw, they are a random encounter at early levels too.

Meresti Train Yard is notorious for having Deathclaws there as a hang out along with Old Olney, but there are worse things roaming around with the add-ons.

Things like Albino Giant Radscorpions and Feral Ghoul Reavers.
