So, apparently Steam users who already have it downloaded are saying the game is asking for a key....

EDIT: They'll be sent to your my games list, somewhere, soon.

Played a few rounds, pretty awsome, even tho it's a beta and stuff is kinda unfinished. Most servers are a lagfest

umm I'm having a problem on the xbl, it asks me to create an EA account or use an already existant one? I tried to create and to use an old account I had but it keeps saying this gamer profile doesn't have the access to xbox live or whatever... Anyone knows how I can fix this? Goddamn EA accounts, keep giving me problems.

Its like BF2 with sniper rifles, you have to get a headshot for 1 hit kill, otherwise you only get them down to about 10-20% health.

This game reminds me a lot of BF2. The only thing missing for me would be the planes. I understand it is hard to incorporate, but in 1942 they had them. The only difference in modern day warfare is that the planes go faster. But meh, I love the sniping. You actually have to snipe and be patient. I am hoping I can get some friends going so I can use my laser guiding dart and start wrecking tanks.

I was a little disappointed about not getting a pc beta key... :(
I pre-ordered the limited edition through bestbuy before they said, If you order through steam, or gamestop you will get a beta key. So I have to wait... *Sad Face* -> :(
Hopefully... Fileplanet, or gamespot will send me a key so I can join in on the fun.

Also if anyone here is running the new Ati Radeon HD 5970's please let me know how well they perform w/ this game. I am planning on buying that card soon.

Gave up playing on my pc until they fix the lag... jumped over to my 360. Once you get use to the controls it's awesome. Took first place 4 games in a row, woo.

Whip out your pistol right after, 2 or 3 shots even at long range should get the kill...

Wow that's lame...We'll see I guess. I'ma stick to MW2 for now and get it later on perhaps.

So yeah, just a reminder, sniping in Battlefield games takes a bit more skill and patience than in CoD games.
Code: Select all
Check out the awesome single player footage, 7 minutes of it! Just pure awesomeness. :dope:

The scope doesn't move at all so IMO it's easier and less skill needed, it's just that you need 2 shots if you don't headshot >.>

Leading your target on long ranges is needed, bullet dynamics in MW2 is just way off, they always hit instantly no matter what the distance of your target is.

I found my favorite class involves the basic engineer class.

Scar-L Carbine
Tracer Dart
RPG's

I love popping a dart on a tank, and then just shooting rockets that always hit the target. Then the repair points are insane. You get like 120 when you fully repair a vehicle. They also made the helicopters more tolerable. I was flying like I was in BF2 in the Cobra.

Just played a few games.

I thought it was alright. Nothing special. Doesnt come close to BF2 on the PC, but then i didnt like Bad Company 1.

And whats with the demo not being Conquest. BF is conquest, these other game modes seem like a completely different game.

I'll probs buy it anyway.

I would be glad to, but I'm having a problem on the 360 playing the demo :palm:

Most of the people were standing still so I had time enough to give them a headshot, even then they didn't die >.>

It looks alright but I don't think it'll be better than MW2 online, but we'll see in March =]

The game is real cool, except that all my sounds are replaced with random beeps/cracks/noise/static

Bought it, downloading it now.

Can't wait. Close range sniping in bf2 games ftw.

Managed to get in a chopper before, seems alot heavier to fly than in BF2 not even close to how agile it used to be. Wish I could get in an empty server for a while than I could practice my seat switching.

Haha, good luck with that. All the hard hitting snipers are bolt action, after you take a shot, your player looks out of the scope see the bolt and cock it, I can tell you now its not very convenient. All the semi-automatic snipers with feel like a crappy M21 at close range, no advantage compared to any other class. Unless maybe your playing with and M95 or the SVU, I haven't unlocked that in the closed beta.

I unlocked everything in the engineer class, its the best class ever! Assuming you have a decent team that heals every once in a while...

i hope this is either a bug or a lag issue... i hit some guy running across in front of me with the basic sniper rifle 4 times (according to hit indicator) at close-medium range and he didn't die :x

also movement key seems have a tendency to become stickied.

also doesnt detect my joystick throttle

1 thing i like is how they changed kill/death to points, which imo would (hopefully) encourage more teamwork on pub servers :/

I love it, it really puts you into 'the war' with all the screaming, explosives going off, bullets zooming past. I like it so much more than MW2, which I love
