It could be an expansion pack, but imo they should make a content update and work on HL2:E3... WANT.

if they were abandoning the first one already to work on it, i'd be annoyed. But they said they aren't which means even while this is coming up they'll be adding stuff to the first one. Making the first "worth $50" as some claim it isnt even though I really didnt find it to be as unfinished as many of you seem to of. Yes its lacking things but Online play keeps me loving the game since Last fall when i bought it, which for me if you can keep me interested that long you made it worth 50.

And yet the game has not been released, won't be til the end of November (There are possibilities of new changes), no news of there NOT being new content for L4D1 and only videos are floating around without players having a chance to try it out themselves. To each his own I guess.

You haven't played L4D2, how do you know it's worse? This is all based on assumption. Everyone is just assuming it's gonna suck. There are no video's of ALL the new infected they mentioned and there are none of ALL the maps. People should complain AFTER it's fully released, if they see a reason to. Petitioning to stop it's release is "ridiculous". It also won't work.

I'd gladly pay an extra $20 for a patch but I just find releasing it as an entirely new game for $50 (I checked the price with Gamestop) is kinda dumb. But despite all the kicking, screaming, and moaning, I'll still probably buy the game =p

Seriously, so much can change. If they made this in such a short time, whats saying they wont add/tweak more. And sadly games get put off all the time, wouldnt be shocked if it ends up being delayed like most. But really, you guys are ridiculous. Assuming from a few vids previewing a game you can decide how it will measure up to the first and what its worth. They're adding more to the first which I personally think atm with all 4 campaigns playable in versus and survival mode its enough to call a full game. And because since it got released they immediately started working on the second that its shit. Dont buy it for full price, wait a while till you feel you feel its the right time to get the sequel, dont buy it at all, do whatever you like. But its amazing how much people complain and how upset people can get over things. I guess realism is important in a game with undead monsters with super long tongues and others who barf on you and for some reason their barf is a homing beacon which makes other zombies come and beat up whatever is covered in it.

Sure you can, but it will only qualify if it's a completed final product video of L4D2.

For one thing I think the incinerating bullets were a bit well... out of place, and who would find those things hanging around town (unless there's some secret research base somewhere). But ya I really hope valve would reconsider selling this thing for $59.99 (if they are selling it for that much) because thus far the new contents of the game is not worth $50. Of course, we still have a few months till Novermber, so they still have some time to tweak it a bit and make it more worth while.

Meh..stupid magical fire bullets.

Anyway....anyone wondering if they're gonna' have some kind of a drive-and-shoot campaign mission like the one they had in Dawn of the Dead? I mean, they already have chainsaws and guns. Riding an "armored" bus around town while shooting and blowing zombies up would be fun =p Especially with the tanks trying to chase and ram your vehicle down.
