Hello all, I'm new in SRO and I was thinking if I can still keep up even though I started late on SP farming, I starte in like lvl 11 with 1 lvl skill gap.. Also, I want to ask if all characters have a maximum SP and exp and if it has, would I still be able to get the maximum SP even though I started late in SP farming?? Also, anyone know a working SP calc??

Sure, it is never to late to do anything! Just make that 9-level mastery gap and just grind on whatever you would normally train on.

I suggest you start over since your still low lvl, but go to

http://sro.mmosite.com/guides/sp&exp.shtml

and add it up your self(also adding the skills you want)

Just a question Ms.JessicaYan, why should I start over again?? I'm not really having difficulty yet in killing monsters of the same as my level.. Pls. don't be offended, it's not that I don't believe you but every good answer has a good reason.. :)

any other suggestions out there?? I'm kinda confused because only 2 replied and they don't have the same insites on what to do.. Any more ideas would be much appreciated.. Also, I want to know if there is a maximum limit in the skill points that you will gain wherein in that time you will not gain anymore skill experience and if there is a limit, would that be affected if I started SP farming late??

My idea: start over. I recentley started a new char, and since you're LVL 13 or so, you can do it in one day. Keep your masteries at a max of seven. Or wait- just keep it at seven :) Then find a friend who is a bit further, and ask him to lend you 'bout 1 mill, buy yourself a good ++ or SOS bow. Stick to a place with good spawning rate, and start to 2-hit 'em. Continue this a week, 2.5 hours a day or so. You'll have about 10k on SP then. You can do another week, or use the SP's wiseley.

It just takes one day to get to 12/13, so I suggest you just do it. If you don't get it, always feel free to ask for more suggestions! :)

The problem is I don't know anyone who can lend me 1m yet.. And also, what's the difference if I start over again with my character??

you should start over because your mastries ar already over lvl7 and you are most effective sp farming at lvl16, and since your still low lvl its not too late. But affording a lvl16 sos bow is a big problem. You can always stick it out with something less like a normal 16+3. But if its your first character I suggest you get a feel of the game first. You can always just lvl to 30+(always with mastries the same lvl as your own), have fun do some trade runs and make some gold, then start over and sp farm with a sos bow(bought with the gold u make with your lvl30+).

Hope that helps, you can do read on on the sp farming guides on pretty much every SRO site for more guidence.

Well, I said this in another thread, but it applies to this one pretty well too

Quote:
In my opinion, the best times to farm are when a) you gained some advantage in killing monsters realllly fast, e.g. obtained a sox weapon, just got a great skill such as nukes; b) finally at a lvl where you can 1-3 shot green monsters in a region that spawns them really fast really close e.g. bandits stronghold, some regions of chakis. The gap lvl would be your preference and can vary upon how large of an "advantage" your current situation is in.

Ok, I think I will still continue playing with my character because as I can see there is no disadvantage on SP farming late except for because if I SP farm late, it would'nt be as fast as when I am lvl 16 with lvl 7 highest skill mastery...

Can anybody tell me what are the other disadvantages of late SP farming?? :? :?

The only thing I have noticed about late sp farming is that it takes longer with my character, I am level 34, have my fire and lightning at level 32 for 2nd level nukes, my weapon is at level 31. This make it harder to sp farm, I do 2 hit any creature my level, but cause of a lousy level gap I dont get much sp. I do not want to de-level, have started over enough times now cant do it again. so I am just going to farm what I can till I build a level gap of 5+ and hope and pray I get a few thousand sp before level 40.

When I did have a 5 level gap sp was comming in fast, I never fought green creatures always red or orange, more risky but I also wanted to level up faster.

To get a lvl 9 gap? but of course i wont get much SP til lvl 30 right? Please say I shouldnt remake the character >_< its my 2nd one. my lvl 20 blader was messed up due to bad skill tree.

So what .. everybody SP Farms at lvl 16. I'm gonna SP farm at 42 with mastery lvl 33. I'm lvl 35 I'm 1 hitting white monsters, even some oranges. So at lvl 42 I'm getting SOS Spear +++. 1 Hitting greens maybe and get lots of SP + lots of money + I can always do some thiefing, hunting, trading. It will be more fun than at lvl 16. This is the game for right? Having fun :-)

Its never too late to SP farm. But if this is your first char. NEVER SP farm :-). Just play a little and see all aspects of the game. Then decide if you want to make another char and SP farm or just do it at higher lvls.

Right now I am lvl 27, with my sword masteries at 22. Right now lvling with the Meek Gun Powder monsters. Now I guess the question I have is should the force masteries have the 9 lvl gap as well, or is it just the weapon masteries that should have that 9 lvl gap

Either one, but to be effective, get both as high as you can BUT make sure you STILL have a 9 level gap. Also, I don't recommend farming at a low level, if you're 40+ and farming, at least you get to have fun with jobs and stuff.

I'm level 54, I got down to 800 sp last night. I've been lower too. You do not need to SP farm at low levels, thats a sure way to make you hate the game before you even hit level 20.

At times you will run low on SP, just keep in mind that you will need to increase your gap. Close it as you reach special level landmarks, like getting a new type of weapon or a special skill (like a nuke). Once you get the weapon or skill let your gap increase again (if its a weapon you can even use cusrt hearts to increase the gap instantly).

One last comment is that gold scrolls help.

SP farming at lvl 16 sucks :-) believe me .. I haven't been there but I know for sure. At higher lvl farming is a lot more fun. You can do thief runs trade runs hunter runs with your friends, thats why I like Silkroad. Last night we made something like 4-5 hours of thiefing it was very good. Now I have the strength to lvl 2-3 days non stop :D

P.P But I'm not going to cuz I have 8 exams to pass so I'll study hard.

Everyone is so narrow-minded about SP farming that they don't realize that pretty much EVERYONE will farm at den, causing overcrowding, which diminishes the effectiveness.

Yeah. The last thing you want is to SP farm at den. That sucks hard. Everyone goes there and it is overpopulated. You sp farm at any lvl. Just be sure you have 9 lvls gap. Its best to SP farm at SOS Weapon lvls (lvl 16, lvl 24, lvl 32, lvl 42 ...)
