I had to post something, its been driving me crazy how people try to sell items in this game.

Easy rules, but many seem to forget.

What to do and what not to do.

Be polite and have a price in mind, you know you do anyways so why say offer? I'm not going to offer on an item that I haven't even seen the stats on yet and if I do, expect it to be a little low so I can cover my @ss if you pull something out thats not up to par.

If you say offer and your item is worth 50m and they offer 35m, well saying bb gets you no where, and calling them noobs normally is not good business practices.

If I have 200m and I see someone selling a 50m I'm going to offer low to try and bring the price down, and if i'm selling i'm going to ask for the price to be a little high so I can try to get more gold. This is common sales practices. It does not mean i'll only accept those prices.

So when the 35m offer comes in and you say bb, you lost a potential sale, through this key feature called "Gasp" communication two normal people would eventually negotiate a price around 45 to 50m.

I see so many lost sales over poor communication its crazy. Not always does that eager person with crap loads of gold come begging you to buy your item 5 times of what its worth, I mean most of us have alot of gold for a reason =)

Just once this weekend try it, try to actually communicate with the person you want to do a sale with, you will be surprised how many items I would of easily pay over cost for if the person would of at least tried this handy method.

bb from this noob =)

That or just leave your over priced item in a stall for a week or so and it will most likely sell for the over priced price. That is how I sold my SOS 52+6 bow for 100mil. I had 1 offer for 35mil and that was ignored. Had another for 55mil and another for 65mil. Someone offered 80mil, but then backed out. I contacted the guy who offered 65mil and he asked if I could give him a day to come up with the gold. I said sure and put the bow back in the stall for 100mil not thinking that anyone would actually buy it. Woke up the next morning and checked the stall... to my suprise the bow was gone and I was 100mil richer.

Why ignore the guy that offered 35m? He could of been just rude & playing OR with a little communication he may of paid the full price. See what i'm getting at?

Ever buy a car? You don't just go walking into the car lot paying sticker price. Your going to low ball them and haggle the price down. In the end normally both the seller and buyer are happy.

Same goes for the guy selling the car, he won't slap a sticker on the car making very little profit, he is going to jack the price up so he has room to come down.

All i'm saying it 9 out of 10 whisper when you global an item is going to be not what your expecting. Ignore them then your guaranteed not to sell your item. Take the time to talk and haggle prices, then you just upped your chances by 9 more people =)

I don't like stalling for weeks, I like to take the time to grind.

If that were true I would not have sold my bow for nearly 3 times what the 35mil offer. Plus, with the new stall network, getting any PMs with offers is pretty much gone.

I only wish the foreigners felt the same way.
They always say OFFER, I usually say bite me and move on to the next person. But yea it definitely gets frustrating.

Rude people do not deserve my goods. Personally my prices are fixed. You can buy my stuff or not that is your choice. You use the car buying example. I am not a car salesman I am retail store. My prices are fixed. You can't haggle or negotiate with Amazon.com.

I follow a formula that I feel fairly prices most items.

However SOX stuff gets tricky. I'll shoot high and if it doesn't sell I'll lower the price and so forth. I'll entertain bids but only bids near my price.
