Since there can only be a certain amount of mobs on a map, before they start spawning/despawning instantly, what would happen if 100 players opened fgw and just afk'd at a spot with 2 mobs (aka a ship)?

100x20 = 2k mobs. Which means bot parties would be farked, or at least a lot slower, due to not having enough mobs to kill.

That's what we should've done on Venus.

Only reason it occured to me was because, during my latest party, I noticed a few mobs spawns and despawn. And it got me thinking. ..

And yeah, on a server like venture it might not be a problem. But if you include alex, and baghdad into the equation, it makes 2k a bit more effective.

The problem with spawning/despawning is that the server doesn't have enough capacity. From what I understood from admins/mods from different servers atleast. If you have enough servers, there wont be any mobs despawning.

Probably wouldn't work.

because by that logic, if there were lots of people trading at the same time, the trades themselves would mess up the spawns.

That and the other sro instances as well. Most likely the probably don't count towards the despawn limit.

If it DID work, Synx would proably ban you. but then again, its not like theres enough people on the server for it to really make much of a difference. especially since BA and CTF aren't worth doing, you can only get JC on kills (and job uniques which are insanely hard to kill. . .for a CHANCE at 1 JC) and there pretty much only three - four classes in the game that can actually make kills without have to try and +10 a weapon just to make those kills (the bower that just got 14d bow. . .he +10ed his bow before he started pvping)

So pretty much it's just pay to win (unless you make one of the three classes)as trading really doesn't pay much either.

This plus there being so little people on the server, if you decided to do this and it work, it would probably just kill the server, as people would think the server is broken and unfixable, therefore not worth playing.

Not like I care too much though, I just log in and do a trade or two. . .haven't killed a real mob in weeks.
