Chinese characters get worse exp in share pts most of the time because the formula for gaining exp is different

That's also a reason why Chinese should get more base exp than euros.
Not saying that's what the esro makers should do but, it would balance the leveling speed.

Another suggestion is to increase the exp and sp chinese get while in exp dist parties.
When the dist pt is full, instead of getting 10% more xp why not 20% or more. Just a suggestion. :D

no they should just make it so Chinese characters get the same exp in share pts as euros. All the Venus people will say some dumb shit about Chinese characters shouldn't be in parties. I just want to pt with my friends on a Chinese character and vise versa, it doesn't matter to me if they suck and it doesn't matter to them if I suck.

I think some Chinese characters can still be used very well as damage dealer in a 8/8 party, like a nuker or a bower? Of course they deal less damage than a mage, but damage is still good, and if a mob attacks a Chinese char he can pot up real fast so he doesnt die ...

it's not about the damage. it's about how fast they kill mob.

A Wizard can do 20k on a mob, a spear nuker can do also around 18k-20k.

The wizard goes on Life Control and does 30k, nuker still 20k.

A Wizard in 1 AoE hits 5 mob 30k, 26k, 24k ..., nuker only hits 2 or 3 mobs.

Unless the party is not full, and we need 1 more damage, I would accept a nuker but if there's a Wizard and Nuker waiting in line, I would pick the wizard.


what if the cleric is not so good and wizards die in LC? would you accept the nuker for some tanking and increase the survivability of the party?

it's not about the damage. it's about how fast they kill mob.

The rates should be favorable, 5x XP-10x SXP-10x Drop

Also, you guys should consider a Rebirth system, ecsro nearly made one, but no one wanted it.

I would love a rebirth system.

Drop rate should be the same as exp rate or people will get too many items too fast.

Not really, it sometimes happens when you're reading and you select some words. They will be automatically copied in your search engine field.

People, I am sorry to say this, but dont have too high hopes. People did that with Duke Nukem Forever, and see where that game is now? Still non-existent. I am not attacking this project, but it's just that there is very little proof that eSRO is actually getting somewhere.

If I were you I would just start at cSRO/tSRO and have fun there, and by the time eSRO opens (if ever) you will be high level there and you won't even need a private server :P

•Move (80%) theres still bugs in the move functions and wont work in the cave.
•Teleports (90%) - Caves are disable
•Talk to npc (85%) you can talk to most of the npc in game and shows the correct dialog.
•Pickup and drop gold and items (80%) theres still some bugs in it
•Skills (60%) Most skills work now even the combo ones, but still the damage displayed is not in sync with the animation and some skills the attack is too fast, can cancel active skills, persistent skills, that mantain when you teleport or when you logout. (some items and premium) Skill that change stats and speed are updated correctly, knockback, knockdown and status from skills are disable.
•Move items storage,inventory (85%)
•Equip and unequip avatars and items (85%)
•Mobs spawning (90%) still need to add random giants and champions
•Sell items (90%)
•Normal attack (70%) still need to add real damage and other checks
•Hotkeys (70%) you can insert them, remove them and its saved in the db and when you login your skillbar is updated to the one u saved.
•Stall (90%) Need more testing to see its working 100%.
•Guild (50%) You can create a guild, disband,change notice, join and kick (partially), new member login notification, donate gp, chat.
•Exchange (95%) Need heavy testing to see its working 100%.
•Alchemy (50%) item enchanting work properly success and fail, need to add blues.
•Buy (95%) Need more testing to be sure its 100% working.
•Item Mall (95%) You can buy any item but theres still some problem with some of them.
•Party System (75%) Need heavy testing and few minor stuff
•Friend System (75%)
•Academy (20%) Recently started
•Stall network (20%) Recently Started
•Autopot (20%) Recently started.

Im assuming rafa has worked on damage calculations and stuff? such as gear % def, bufs, lvl stats with blues etc, passives etc? I havent seen much of rafa lately so havent asked!

because some things go with other things? programming is funny like that you can fully finish one part to realize it doesn't work with something else.

I think its strange to say that something works for 70% or 80% or 20% ... how can you ever express stuff like that in percentages? How do you know its not 71.8% or 69.9%?
The percentages don't make a very good impression to me, but then again I have to deal with mathematics and physics every day so I might be a bit hard on you :twisted:
