magisuns wrote: if its 1x~10x im so playing It most certainly will be. Rates won't go above 10x since a GT/Premium would bring the gain to 20x+ EXP and 30-40x+ SP, which is ridiculously fast. Side note: It has been confirmed that European race will be out before 60 cap is raised, they are currently 50-60% completed. Europeans level fast with 1x rates, with 5~10x rates you could easily be level 30-40 in 1 day since nobody would need to gap or farm.

Lol, we were Lv.4X in 1-2 week or something on RSRO, probably less. With 10x rates you can be lv.60 in less than a month for sure, even without premium. Hm, but having Yetis as highest monsters with lv.60 cap would suck. It would be better to make lv.60 cap, but with DW cave already. Then you can at least grind on Lv.70 monsters until lv.60. I think the highest monster lv. should always be 10 lv. higher than cap, that would be awesome. That means with lv.60 cap, it would be cool to have DW cave already, with lv.70 cap taklamakan, with lv.80 cap roc moutain, with lv.90 cap Qin Shi Tomb, with lv.100 (or maybe straight to lv.105 cap) alexandria area. Would be more interesting to kill Lord Yarkan with Lv.70 as max level, Shaitan with lv.80 as max level and Medusa with lv.90 as max level.
Btw, did you think about making something against high levels killing low uniques, like lv.50+ (or maybe lv.40+) on TG or something. I think you shouldn't allow the players to attack uniques more than 10 or at least more than 20 lv. under them. I don't know, if it's possible to introduce it, but it would be a nice improvement and it would stop unique whoring.^^
Just some suggestions, in case you didn't think about that yet.

Imo best deal would be 1x rate for EXP and maybe 1x-5x rate for SP or something like that. But you are probably right 30-50 days on normal rates should be enough to get you at around lv.6X. I didn't notice that 1 month on 10x rates would be almost 1 year (300-310 days) on normal rates already. I'll correct myself then: With 10x rates you can be lv.90 in less than a month, maybe even lv.100. So 10x rates is definitely too much.

Kronos wrote: It would be better to make lv.60 cap, but with DW cave already. Then you can at least grind on Lv.70 monsters until lv.60. Well unfortunately DW cave won't be implemented, it was just a pain in the ass to work so it's being skipped I believe. I think Taklamakan will be implemented with 60 cap, idk, but as Euros we could go grind on Karra or Devil Eyes instead. Not as good as the cave mobs but it will have to do. Probably won't be done but it is possible to keep high levels away from uniques. magisuns wrote: Kronos wrote: With 10x rates you can be lv.60 in less than a month for sure, even without premium. it takes like 3~5 days with 10x lol, and with euros that would be way too quick With 10x rates an INT spear was able to hit 64 in 2 days with SP being bought staying FF the whole way. The same story for a friend of mine with a glaiver. With us having 5~10x rates without a GT/Premium you should be able to hit 60 in under 2 weeks regardless of build if you were to just grind for a few hours a day. Random example: 1x rates with a Premium+ on iSRO @ 7 days a week 5 hours a day, that would be equal to 70 hours worth of grinding time a week. eSRO with 5x rates with a Preimum+ @ 7 days a week 5 hours a day, that would then be 350 hours worth of grinding a week. Now add that amount of EXP to a European party.

Don't forget that some people aren't lifeless enough to play 5 hours a day, every day. Some of us can play couple hours a day max, and not every day. And anyway, what's the point of a low rate PRIVATE server? We got ISRO for that...

Who said you had to grind 5 hours? I was using 5 hours as an example. Coming up I won't be able to play anything either due to 8-12 hours of work 5-7 days a week while trying to do other things and I just got out of having day and night school (11 hours of shit a day) I know exactly what you mean. Personally I would love higher rates but I'm not at liberty to make that decision. The team is fully aware people have lives, the reason this server is taking so long is because the team have other things to do. As long as I have an account I can mess around on sometimes I'll be fine, regardless of rates or how much I can play or what level I am.
As I said before, if you don't like the rates then don't play.

Well another thing you could do is just make the SP rates higher than the EXP rates. Personally, I don't find the grind as annoying as the SP farm. So if you were to somehow reduce the farming time, that would be nice. As for exp... I think 5x is a pretty decent rate.
Similarly, when I first started on WoW private servers, my group played on 40x rates. 1-70 in less than 6 hours. We eventually moved down through 20x, 15x, and ended up on a 10x server which seemed just right. Took about a week of normal play to go from 1-80.. or about a 24-hour straight grind lol. But that's WoW, which is rather different from the whole SP system of SRO.
To sum up: 5x EXP, (insert some number higher than 5)x SP

well see.
edit: one way to encourage partying if tyhis hasnt been thought of. reduce the amount of exp rate for euros. but compensate for it with the party bonus.
like currently a euro party does something along the lines of (not sure) 2% exp sp bonus/ player or something like that. just cut euro exp and sp rates by half of chinese, but then make up for it by increasing the party bonuses. itd take a little math, but it could be done.

That would indeed incentivate partying but it would make solo grinding a pain... It's already hard to solo an euro, having half the rates the chinese do.. I love partying but everyone knows you can't party 24/7, you'll have to solo sometime

I say no to that, sometimes you just dont WANT to party, if a legit server always has parties there's no reason to penalize euros for soloing, it just sounds like someones to attached too their Chinese race and afraid that euros are going to own so they want to penalize them...
-1 to that
if you want to encourage partying all the time, remove the penalty that happens when a Chinese joins a euro party, THAT would encourage partying for ALL people, and may provide some cool variety to partying, and doesn't make Chinese character feel like they're getting shafted and want to hater on euros passive aggressively (or otherwise)
everybody wins

So, unless rates aren't changed, I most likely won't play. I am not putting down the server or anything, I just think that is a VERY silly decision.

If I had to take sides I would take Bananaman's side, many people who will be staying with their Chinese race want it so Europeans aren't as strong, take longer to level, ect. because they know they will fall to them very often. If you would like to balance the game a little more subtract Chinese 4 man parties EXP/SP bonus and add more of it to their 8 man parties and take away the bonus loss for non-full Euro 8 man parties. The best way would be to follow Bananaman's example to encourage Chinese party play.
As I have just talked to npcdoom, he said he hasn't given it much thought yet, EXP/SP gains for parties/races could be altered some in the future.
@McLovin1t I won't be grinding for hours, as I said, idc about levels. Other than logging into ECSRO to look at the 100 cap updates before the server went down and 30 minutes of eSRO beta testing, I haven't been on SRO for nearly 2 years. This is just me personally though.
I do understand fully what you're saying, the rates are a bit low for many players but as I said, I do not have the power to make the decision of rates, for me I would pick 10x rates or higher and use a GT/Prem. for 20x+ exp since I won't have all that much time to be online soon. The reasons why rates are so low mostly is because eSRO is trying to bring together a stronger community, as I've seen in ECSRO's community it was full of capped nubs, which is what they want to change, you also won't have to farm, and there will be a lot of EXP events. I got tons of friends who will be playing eSRO and that's all I care about.
Once again this is just from my point of view.
