It's not needed, but it makes for an interesting alternative build which costs little SP. Just take the vital spots, therapy circles, res, party wide status cure, and the passive, and you'll have a mix between cleric, warlock, and Chinese nuker. My build for the 90 cap will be force 90, lightning 90, cold 60, fire 60.

Personally, I prefer using the vital spots with pure str builds for the crits. Just reduce the parry ratio and the physical and mag defence and he should be done for. Especially with a bowman.

I have force at lvl60, it makes for an intresting altertantive, and the parry vital spot gives my damage that little extra boost to kill hard targets, STR in snow, warrior in skin etc. If your looking for a more team based chinese, take it, if going solo is what tickles your fancie, then dont take it :)

I don't have the patience to get the SP for that build. Besides: I want my immunities, and fire 30 requires quite a bit of alchemy, not to mention problems when the 100 cap arrives. Between vital spot and snow shield, I believe you can live without cold 90.
