It's very efficient at soloing.
Take the xbow series and take the noise and moving march skills in bard. With that, you're able to grind at yetis at lvl 50. Training on mobs 10 lvls higher than you shuold be no problem with xbow and you will 2-3 hit them as well. I train on karas while I'm still 52 (i want 8d drops).
It's useful in parties as well.
You can use the bard subclass and dance or tambour. You'll do alright with mp healing with the MP increase from the harp and an INT buff.
You can also xbow fast shot/rapid shot lure mobs at penons, snipers, etc. It's a lot faster than making slow tanks walk around..just make sure you stay outside of the main party and let the tanks aggroe the mobs before people attack. As a rogue, you can't hold aggroe and they'll slip right off of ya.

This build is one of the faster levelers.
As you level higher, youll find yourself getting killed very easily. If you went celric, you could tank effectively, while killing people. Also sub warlock useless IMO due to massive rouge damage anyhow.

It's a very good build, but I suggest only taking the Xbow skills. With daggers you'll die very fast. Bard works better with xbow while cleric works better with daggers.
