oke guys, atm im a level 54 (proud of it :D) 70:70 bower, it's a nice build imo :)

Tho 70:70 is IMO strong (don't need to argue about that in this topic) I see some advantages of going to a 1:1 bow build

The reason why I want to change is not becease I find myself lacking hp so hardly, im doing really fine with snow shield :) the main reason is that I think the combination of damage and hp could be better. ATM my lightning nuke is doing an average 300-400 lower then my strongbow does, which is't much, and strongbow can crit+faster+can shoot further. My build DOESN'T rely on nukes imo (I think maney people will agree this with me)

So I think I've basicly got to much int, compared to str. Since it doesn't really matter if my nukes will hit lower, but it does matter that my hp is LOWER compared to 1:1. Since this build is mainly focused around pacheon skills, why shouldn't I change to 1:1. I'll have less int points, but the str points will compensate a bit the damage lost from int (becease pacheon+imbue=str+int attack)

do you guys get my point :?
Well ofcourse 1:1 got some downsides compared to 70:70...The dps is lower, and I can't run such a high level of snowshield compared to 70:70. (tho I wouldn't rely on snow shield as much as a 70:70 does)

I would like to hear your opinions :)

The reason I stayed 70:70 is because I do like the light nuke. I use it constantly for grinding. I also use it in pvp, at the very least it confuses my enemy. For grinding purposes I do.

1st mob:
Strongbow
Anti-devil
lion shout or nonskilled hit(if necessary)

2nd mob:
Light nuke (because of the horrible recharge time of strongbow)
Antidevil
lion shout (if necessary)

Without light nuke 2nd mob:
Antidevil
bezerker
arrow combo
1-2 non skill hits if necessary.

So as you can see I saved myself arrows(multi)and a skill on the second mob. Okay not exactly a long cast skill, but....I like the version with light nuke in it. It just feels better to me. Light nuke is also great for party mobs and giants where there is more then 1 on you.

By going 1:1 snow will drop to 35%. Tanking between 1:1 and 70:70 should be about the same with snow shield, and better for 1:1 without.

What were you planning to do with masteries? Keep then the same or up fire for passive?
Tomiotars build was 80fire, 80bow, 80ice, 60light. Im not sure what his plan was for 90cap.

well, i'll post mine grinding setup: (tho it changes often, atm im grinding on penons which are 1 level higher then me, thus damage decrease when I would've grinded on for example ishades or something
w/e

grinding patron @ lv 55 penons:
1st mob: anti>strongbow
2st mob: bezeker arrow>lightnuke+lion shout (if neccesery)

Tho this aint correct, im using mind bow hella lot in pve too, to lure as maney mobs that I can tank to kill them with aoe skills...

I'm now using a light/ice/pacheon based build (I really like ice imbue+icewall :P) so maybe this fits 70:70 better then 1:1? (i've got level 40 fire, and I proberly won't up it any higher)

i've been thinking on a build for 90 cap like: 90 light (I really don't want light to be 60 or something, agillity is way to important for me to drop) so: 90 light, 90 pacheon, 60 fire/60 ice (Ofcourse fire could be around 58 or w/e, just what would fit best etc)

If tomiotar is here somewhere, please post!!

my 70s bow is now level 77...cant be fix to 1:1 at 80 cap but possible nearly 1:1 at 90 cap.

if i got a chance ill shoot at 80% phy naked^^ i think this will be best for bow.

this build need HP,unlike pure int that need HP too but they can use armor since their mag def is lot better than 70s.

I haven't been around much, but I think Tomiotar gave up when he lost his account in that last SRO disaster :(
I didn't loose my character, but I stopped playing at that time as well. Joymax just gets me so pissed :x

Anyway back to the topic on hand. While I think that 70:70 is a fine build, I think that 1:1 should work just as well, and may be better suited for some people.

While I truly enjoy my ice/light build, this force tree combination suggested in the link seems pretty good. You would have to check what lvl exact skills are at since it looks like he just rounded to the nearest 10 to keep things simple.

Quick Question:
To get to an 80:80 balance with gear on, do you have to have Str and Int 5 on all your stuff?
or Str 5 and Int 4, because most of the stat points you get goes to Int? im confused.
thanks in advance

It depends on your lvl. At lvl 65 I am at 84:84 and I don't have my int and str maxed. At lvl 80 you have to be very close to max to have 80:80. The truth is it doesn't matter very much, there is nothing magical about 80:80. You could be 81:79 if you like.

Once you get your balances where you want them, you add equal amount of points to int and str as you lvl.

well if this character of yours is going to be based more on solo PvP then i would suggest going for an 80% phys balance naked but if he is based mainly on say unique hunting or group pvp's (fortress/guild wars etc) or that kind of things i would stick with the 70 70 because better overall damage and good AOE attacks imo. and for you 90 cap idea 60 fire and 60 ice... if your going 70 70 drop fire and up ice but if ur gonna bump up hp bump ice down a little cuz i think you would be better off like that IMO.

I think that differ between 70:70 & 1:1 is very little. You should rather think how to get gold for decent items :)
