OK i have this problem....i am an int hybrid spearman fully farmed,with the masteries
Heux 80
Ice 80
Light 80
Fire 60

and i was planned when cap 90 comes to have:

Heux 90
Ice 80
Light 90
Fire 40

i am in garment right now...and my mag balance is 100-101% (depends if i have premium or not)
and physical balance is 69-70%.....

the problem that i have is next....

for some reason without my ice shield, i die from pure str glaviers...and back on lvl 70 i won them easily.... i have around 12400 hp and 17890 mp....
atm i need like 72+7 spear to do something concrete...

so i was wondering will it be better to switch to protector and delevel my heux and raise bicheon mastery?.....

for the next step i considered many things...

1. in garment with spear when i use snowshield on 50% i can tank everything...(1 vs 1-of course)and i cant be killed when i have ice shield on...but kinda gets hard to kill full str glaviers....only if i have 2-3 crits in a row or something...and if they dont stun me alot...

other wise when my ice shield dissapear i am down in like 4-5 hits...and if i coudnt kill him within 2 minutes....i cant do it at all.....

2.when i choose protector with a spear...problem is lack of mana....when i use 50% ice shield and glavier crits me hard...i dont have mana to do atack...i also tank 2 minutes but i cant move much...

The reason why im consider switching to sword is next....
1.Yes i will make less dmg with nuke if i use sword instead of spear....but ...i will have shield ...i will block...i will have more defense...which means if i switch to protector,because of the shield i will have mana needed to atack....

i will have knock downs(which is important if my ice shield disappear....and what is most important i will inflict bleed,division and impotent stats...

which will increased my atack power a lot...

so i need advice is it a smart thing to do....
should i stay spear or should i switch to sword and shield....

i know it will cost a lot and that i need many cursted hearts for that ...^_^

but pls i need your advice...

oh man delvling 80 lvls of heuksal for bicheon costs a lot.

i would suggest you drop 50% snow shield to 40%.
and also switch to protectors.

get int 5 on every gear, and 100% mp on head, chest, and legs.
get GDF for 2 more int, get silk items like wings for 1 more int.

50% for hybrid is overkill, thats full int snow shield. Some full int's even use 40%.

stay off of 50% until 90 cap, that's when you will be able to put more INT on your gear and will have more MP just from lvling up.

if you have 100% str on gears, and 100% hp, and even some silk items with hp increase, AND also if you have soul spear emperor (lvl 80) , then u can stay with garms if you spam soul spear soula and emperor for stuns.

but yea, delvl snow shield to 40%...50% is too high for hybrid.

covenucle i got the same problem im lv77 pro set all parts +4 FB (most of the blues are 100%) im hyb just like you mag. at 99% phy at 67% fire77/lightin72/heuskel72/cold65
I was really upset when i stop'd grind and started pvp and job activity.Im a player that loves to pvp and ruin other players days by ownin them ^^ .I was thinkin of changin to s/s like you but when you think about it ...you lose more then you get.Wtih sword you will stay alive more then with spear but when your a hybrid you will need atleast +6,+7 sword with 50% mag attack and crit above 9 to get a chance agains germent glavier.
Dont expect to kill a glavier without snow
your problem is that your int wearing germent and you want to kill a physical balanced charactor...Never gonna happen!
My advice is:Switch to protector set,use 40% snow shield,and try to Link your hits as good as you can.
nuke-nuke-stun-knock back-nuke-stun....

well the problem is since i deleveled my fire at 60..i dont use fire nukes anymore so i have only one decent nuke its the lightning...the problem i have with it its that oscillation in dmg are too high....

one time i will hit pure str with a 9-10k nuke...next time i will hit like 7 k....

that 3k difference could help me a lot sometimes...u know....

the thing is next if i switch to sword and shield i can put extra 5 int on shield and raise my mag balance for 1%-2%....also comes for phys balance too...so my balances will be a little bit higher...the problem is with the sword itself...it has less dmg then spear....

but there are division + bleed....i will think about this good...for now im staying spear....i need like 100 mils in stash to plan about deleveling whole heux series...^^

right now i have like 10 mils lol....so i have plenty of time to think about it and to see what will i do in the future.....adding more str is not an option in future levelin ^^....

so basicly if i add only int up till lvl 90 with shield sword and the rest i would have like 103% mag balance....with a spear it stays 100% i calculated it on nivlam.

lol int hybrid sword with only light nuke. thats even bigger oscillation.
i wouldnt be surprised if u got down to a high 6k nuke if ur doin low 7k with spear.
that extra 5int from the shield isnt gonna make u nuke that much harder.

the bleeds/division stuff will though but i havent seen s/s users even attempt to put those on, they still stick to knock down + nukes cuz they still have a hard time killing pure str during those 2 minutes of snow shield, so doesnt seem like they try to press their luck with chains.

sounds like a 1v1 cape pvp build if u go for it, in wars the cleric holy spell will make ur effects negligible, and ull just be a weak nuking hybrid sword.

hmmm.......maybe you are right......as i said i will think about this realy good.....i may stay spear at the end afterall.....

im using 45% snow shield now and its doing much better then 50% one....sounds like there isnt much difference in 5% but there is actualy....the other problem i had with the skills of mine cause 2 of them are practicly new....windless spear and sous spear emperor....

i might need to practice to connect those hits and stuff....the problem is that light imbue does the same oscillation as the light nuke.....so cause of that oscillation i will need a lot of luck in fights....

cause if i get 3-4 high hits with possibly crits on glaviers or bowmans they can go down....but if its on constant low values.....u know low light imbue dmg and low light nuke......

the problem is that considering that about masteries and stuff...i need light....

need to raise my mag atack for that i need light masteries...i like the speed and phantom walks...so its kinda hard to say goodbye to those skills....as for the fire....imbue nukes and mag defense are also nice and phys atack buff....but if i do 80 fire 80 heux and 80 light i will need lvl 60 cold....which is not that if i wear protector.....the problem is what to do on lvl 90....

cold lvl 40 brings me like what ? 30% snow shield? i doubt that it is 40% one....

ok maybe its a bad idea and costs too much....i maybe just realized what is the problem with my char.....

the only thing why i kept lightning as a must it was because of the speed....phantom walk and grass walk...when u look at it nothing else is a must on that series.....i was considering to switch to protector.....delevel my light on 70....delevel my cold on 70 also...cause i dont need 50% snow shield....my protector will cover lack of phys defense when i delevel cold....and i will raise fire which was lvl 60,back to 80 along with the fire imbue and nukes....better and more stable dmg...nukes are hard...and much more stable then light ones....and with mag defense buff on fire i will cover up my garms mag defense....i think it is probably the best solution...because i would have well balanced character ....because without snow shield i will day anyhow...sooner or later....but fire can help me out to inflict little bit higher dmg then now...and i would have stable nukes....it will be like 8.5-10 ...not as a lightning coming from 7-10k...and imbue will be more stable too...when cap 90 comes it will be heux 90 fire 90 light and cold lvl 60.....or maybe it will be like light 50 with cold 70...we shal see...


and the SP needed for deleveling light and cold from 80 to 70 and raise fire from 60 to 80 is like not more then 10-11k...so its not that big deal...
