Let's make it logical , from fire u use only imbue , mag def buff and nukes , but from light what u use ? all . So light > fire .

:palm:
fire= everything except combustion series

and you cannot always say that:
"the more skills you use in a skill tree, the more useful it is"

it only gives you more options, but you will never need all skills, not even if you try

OT:
if you care to sacrifice speed then you can go fire, and as a 1:7, light and fire won't differ much (damagewise)

Isn't light better then fire for running away from players?

For example: You are fighting a pure str glavier u are unable to kill him and your snow shield start to run out. Then someone who has lightning can run away by using ghost walk and he won't be killed by the glavier. Someone who has fire won't be able to do so. Am I right?

u run then what? keep running for a minute? thats pretty much nooblike, u could simply spam ice walls when needed instead.. or running normally without ghost walk works too, but either way its not worth wasting 110 mastery points "for running away from the opponent"

I couldn't agree more.

Sick and tired of these types of comments:

Let me say this once, and once only!

PURE INT DOES NOT NEED LIGHT!

I made it really big, so hopefully the people who believe otherwise won't overlook it.

it absolutely isn't

it is simple math

Light is for pure ints no other place will you get such A Farking HUGE MAGIC BUFF.. people like fire because of the inherently strong nukes... they fail to realise when your magic damage gets buffs practically 20% light surpasses it easily

Fire is the good since ur Spear and u dnt have a shield other ints will kill u pretty easy without the Mag buff.. + the Fire nukes are stronger thn the light nukes

Check out this link. For Spear it might be diff, but for s/s... light def has more power. The buffs are better for fire, but it's up to your style. Solo pvp, fire has edge cuz of wall and immunity. Group pvp, light has edge cuz of higher attacks, more mobility, and cleric buffs = fire buffs.

I normally wear garment on my ints, and I normally do not notice the loss of a fire buff (Mag). You might be at a disadvantage. But to say you'll get raped seems to take it a bit far. Get yourself a nice Garm set and there will be no raping to be had =P

Not everyone can afford to fully pimped sets. And I have seen them, fireless ints get raped pretty hard, sure probably not a 1hit but they sure get hit for ALOT more than ints with fire.

What the hell? Pardon me for being rude, considering you just joined, but why the hell would you resurrect such an old thread?

Tip: Look at the date next time.
