thats not what i meant. the person i was talking to said that the only way for a pure int to kill a pure str is if the pure int crits a nuke. is that true?

Nuke cant crit ... hehe ... even if it could ... it would do low damage ... because
the higher STR is the higher critical hit is ....

Anyway ... I'm not really sure are they good in PvP ... they are pretty moderate ... They
better side is PvE ...

Ahh its been awhile since ive been here, anyway to the topic, pure ints can kill if you meen damage wise they have no problem with that. Its the surviving part, but ive seen someone in my union named skreith tank a nuker, through its whole snow shild and kill it, it was s/s though

Ive seen who your talking about Avenger

http://www.rev6.com/player.asp?id=102831

Im not sure why he is using those gears or something but yeah...

Last I saw him he was wearing garmets which can tank nukes of course and it depends on the player that is nuking him, is the nuker fully farm or partly farmed, the gears, and the level. Alot of things matter about tanking

Not true on my last server Alexander I was freinds with a fullly farmed 80 full int s/s and with good gear he whooped ass even without snow shield i was a hybrid int s/s and i whooped ass too but any good full int or int hybrid has to know some defensive moves and be decent at pvping. and yes there is some skill and strategy to it its not all about dishing out as much damage as possible, but also taking steps to alow you to regenerate your health Ie with KB KD+Stab ect. i prefer a good hybrid int to a str. any day

i'm a pure str glavie and i have to admit s.s with snow shield is very hard to kill...but without snow shield..it's too easy. And btw any str with 20% snow shield can kill any full int with snow...easy. and no it's not noob for str to use snow cuz it's a skill..which mean anyone can use not just int. I own a sun spear user with just my +7 glavie with 20% on....

S/S Nuker cant be one hitted, well, at least by Glaviers.
Your statement is more applicable to Wiz, i suppose.

from lvl 90 on, pure int or any other int-based build will become weaker and weaker. because of the mastery restriction, the trade-off they have to face is much more problematic than for full str chars. full int chars will either have a lower damage (use of cold, use of lightning imbue instead of fire imbue) or lower defense (use of fire instead of cold).

wouldnt pure str or str based players become weaker to?

why? at lvl 90, str still can use their full potential. like 90 weapon, 90 light, 90 fire and 30 cold for snow shield. they will face serious trade-off problems from lvl 100 on, if they wanna keep snow shield. and now think of a full int at lvl 90. 90 weapon, 90 light.. and then? 120 masteries remaining. if you decide to max cold for defense and snow, you have to keep fire at lvl 30, so u can't use the stronger fire imbue or the fire nukes. if you want to do maximum damage, you have to max fire, so you gotta keep cold at 30, which makes your defense much weaker. and if you want something between the two, you still won't be able to use the full potential of fire or lightning tree.

Pure int, Lv80/90 will both be exceptional PvPers. They may not be the best tankers, but with the right gear, and snow shield they're aren't bad. S/S have the blessing of being able to use a shield during PvP, block and the defense helps a lot. They also get statuses, which helps a lot, impotent on the enemy and their damage is reduced, the others increase your attack.

They're the basics to a Pure Int S/S, Wonderful builds they are.
