i am pure str with glavie. i would like to ask wich skill is better for me?

Fire or Lightning?

i am really confused....

Fire deals greater dmg but Lightning has the stun effect and it's blast...
the other thing that i like in Lightning is that there isn't a buff to avoid this effect. what's your suggestion?

Fire river force deals better dmg but if someone is using universal pills or has basic fire protection can easily rid of it.

is something that i don't know or smthing that i don't know very well?

i talk about using Lightning as major skills and fire as secondary for the buffs. ( there isn't a reason to speak for heuksal, i am on glavie).

please no n00bish answers. i hate reading posts that do not belong in reality like the "pure STR nukers" i have seen in many of the posts. even if you want to make fun, some things are not a joke any more.

I think you should appreciate any answer you get (if its not derogatory) means a person tok the time out of their day to respond....

My Spear has both imbue's, IMO Fire is better vs 1 opponant and vs a hard mob, i use lit when i have multiple mobs do deal with for splash dam etc...

especially fire for giants, burn effect really shines there

the stun effect is not from light tree from heuksal - soul spear. so doesn't matter w/c u get, u'll have stun if u use soul spear & knockback from ghost spear.

all status effects can be pilled (freeze/frost bite, burn, electric shock), so again, it doesn't matter w/c u pick, all status effect can be pilled.

fire does greater dmg not because of status effect but because fire tree is mostly offensive in nature, ice is mostly defensive & light is mostly evasive (parry & grasswalk/phantom).

u need to up ur heuksal mastery as this is used by BOTH spear & glavie users. i think its better to use fire as ur main imbue coz of higher dmg (and get all the buffs/passive) & maintain light as ur secondary tree (buffs & passive).

being pure str, u don't need nukes since ur nukes will not deal decent dmg, just focus on wep skills.

just my thoughts, in the end, its ur choice.

You can be like everyone else and use fire, or you can try something different with lightning.

not sure about this but I've eard stun status can be transfered with splash damage form light imbue... but dont quote me on that

b.t.w. i respect the time someone is using to answer on a question but i can't respect the thing that many ppl are doing like:

a) answering without saying "i am not sure" "i don't really know about it"
or whatever means that the thing they're telling is not 100% correct and they speak like they are dedicated on the thing that someone answers.

b) by saying anything their head likes without knowing anything about the answer they don't respect MY or WHOEVER asked smthing making him doing smthing is wrong or not so good. one wrong in skills, or whatever needs much time or gold in the game to be corrected. Making Gold needs time. also doing quest with Cursed hearts needs time.

i win again! ive seen however some thives use ice to get thnem pesky merchants lol.

in my case, ppl tend to be wrong sometimes so its nearly impossible to be always 100% correct. BUT, taking the time to post and try to answer questions, well, i think these ppl are better men (women).

but more often than not, questions in this forum are based on personal views & experiences (&, sadly, hearsay as well). so whenever u ask about skills (which one is better, fire or lite), or weapons (which is better, blader or glavier), most of the responses you get will not be 100% correct as there will be biases. some ppl like to deal large dmg, but others like to stay alive longer.

but i know what you mean by those annoying ppl that says str nukers or posting for posting sake (spammers).

i think you generally should take comments in this forum with a grain (or grains) of salt, meaning don't believe them 100%. if you like what you read, try it out. if its not true, post again so that the misinformed will be correctly informed (without flaming, hopefully)

in my case, i just get ice to lvl 25 and grind with it to 64, then start farming. I prefer ICE in PvE, ill just max both ice + fire.

This game is so unnaturally balenced (if only WoW would learn) so, everty imbue / tree has their ups and downs, but all will help you a great deal... no matter what, they all contribute something so go with what you prefer..

no ice light glaive will get him owned cause he wont have fire phys buff, he'll hit like a bladtard

Fire & Light. If going pure str, don't waste time with ice. No need to slow down enemy or have more phys defense b/c as pure str you hit first and ask questions later. Fire is highest effect imbue, but you need light maxed as well, because you can't hit what you can't catch.

Fire - increased phys damage through passives and buff, flame shield, highest damage imbue (burn damage over time)

Light - movement bonus, parry increase passive and buff, magic damage increase buff (every little bit helps)

Cold - movement reduce, increased phys defense passive and buff - not needed, you're a tank already. STR and +++ on gear can more than make up the difference you would gain from taking ice.

Don't worry about the stun from the light tree - the stun from soul spear series is much better & you'll have plenty of hp to tank out whatever you don't kill/stun.

Fire/Light is pretty much what everyone that goes glavie does. But if you want to try something different, go for it, but remember to play to your strengths! Good luck with things!

I say everything gives benifits, cold can still be useful as a STR build to a point, a pointthat might not be worth taking, but for pvpv its deadly (depending on how many pills ur opponent has of course ) and yes wow is nerfed lol warlocks still OP
