woah dude i was just thinking the same exact thing...which is best to do???
i mean 9 gaping to 45ish or whatever sounds a lot more interesting than farming constantly at 16.

9 gapping to such a high level would be like suicide ><
It's slow enough even at 16, you would probably quit somewhere in between 20 - 30
Well, most people opt to constantly delevel at level 16 because it's the optimal time to SP farm. (New degree of SOS bow, ~139 sp per kill with one or two hits) Leveling up with a gap like that would leave you seriously lagging on skills, and that would just slow you down.

yea but 20-30 you get like three times more sp experience.
sounds more appealing.

hey guys well I would recommend farming at lvl 16 cause the BA have the best spawn rate and it's in a closed area, sort of but lvl 16 is the best also you can 1 or 2 shoot them vs 42 or higher you can't 1 or 2 shoot them plus them mobs take more hop and that means more pots which means more money hehe. well that is just my opinion Enjoy!!

I challenge you to 9 gap to 42!!
You'll be there by 2009 for sure!
Really though if you can 9 gap through say 5 or 6 levels, you'll be pretty well farmed.

At lvl 65 i got 3.5% from grinding on a 9 gap for 4.5 hrs.
I think grinding 45ish levels on a 9 gap would drive you to drinking. Not recommended. I would maybe do 30-40k at various points in the game and level with a 3 gap.

No you don't, you get (more or less) the same SP/kill the whole way through the game. With a 9 gap in both instances, I got more SP/kill at 16-18 in stronghold than I did at lv 37 on green mobs. The difference is that mobs at lv 45 take a lot more time to kill each mob, for less reward.

Farming at 16 in the bandit den is an old hat method that really isn't as good as people think, you have to keep delevelling which makes you lose any time you gained, the gold drops are small and the equipment drops aren't worth anything, the dens full of ppl, you can't job if you want to and loads of high lvls love to go there and pop all the farmers, it's seriously the worst idea.
Do a -3 to 52 then do a -8 not -9, all the way till you have enough sp, most effectively on penons. You can also just -3 to 70 and farm soldiers/guards in Takla Makan.
Farming at a low level just sucks for so many reasons, when I farmed at penons I made over 100 mil just from picking up gold and npcing the drops and I could get 2000-2500 sp in 3 hours with a gt pretty easily. Plus there's none of that delevelling rubbish.

He said what i have been doing for some time , at least, with a too high gap. He simply said this:
Keep a lvl 3 gap, so have a 3 level difference between your highest mastery and your lvl, so keep it just lower. A lvl 4 gap will give you even more sp, but will keep you lvling slower. So a lvl 3 is optimal, lvl 4 for someone who has good nerves and lvl 5 for hardcore gamers. To keep the game interesting, keep a lvl 3 one

yea stronghold is FTL... dont care about the spawn rate when theres ksn everywhere and high levels killin mobs to wait for TG... ill personally kill white/black tigers for awhile since money is better and drops are decent

stronghold has gotten such a big hype, it just seems like thats the norm now - to farm there.
but it seems unappealing so i think im gonna 4-5 gap the whole way up to whatever level i get to before quitting SRO.
but first i will farm like 50k-70k at the stronghold to start off on a good leg

I like stronghold personally. It's pretty relaxing if you just wait out the shitty times. I guess it helps to have another char to screw around on though.

Nuh uhh im 9gapping to 42, im lvl 20 and hit 10k sp recently, ive gotten two sos drops, both of them sold and made me a cool million in gold.
then again you would probably kill yourself just 9gapping to lvl 24 if you did it by hand.

I basicly lvl up with a 4 gap. And If i want a skill I get a 6-7 gap till I have enough sp to close it up, so I can get the skill faster.
Besides that I plan to be a fully farmed lvl 52, wich means I will be sp farming then. I allready bought a nice sos 52+7 crit 9 bow (sorry but cant wait to use it ^^) I also calculated if I just lvl up with a 4 gap till I have my skills at 43 I will have farmed about half of it allready before really starting to farm. Because I will be levling with a 5-6-7-8 gap.
My theory is just to think in baby steps, but well I cant focus really long on anything. ^^

IDK there are alot of quests 3x-4x so it would be pretty easy.

Grinding (with quests) on a 9gap is pointless, IMO. Let's think about it. Why you keep 9gap ? You want SP, right ? So why did you do quests to speed up lvling ? That may sound interesting when you want to have good SP and decent lvling speed but the truth is, the SP you get on the mobs while doing quests is similar to another 5gap players.
I farmed at tiger at lv16 (never ever have a SOX bow in my hand), when it reach 10k SP I felt that I will die if I keep farming like that. So I switch from 9gap to 8gap, that makes me feel better cuz 8gap is double-speed lvling than 9gap. And I keep grinding on 8gap WITHOUT doing any quest to lv30 and have 35k SP, then I jump to 5gap, doing quests, and being lv66 like today, and I'm still continue farming now to fill the skill trees I need.
Believe me, it's easier said than done. And if you go 9gap all the way to 45, noone will call you a pro or nerve of steel, they just think that you are sick
Game if for playing, and to play it we feel relax. Don't make it a job where you have to put all your strength in, and gain nothing except more stress.

alot of those quests dont give sXp so youd be losing alot of the SP youd normally get if you just grinded through those levels.
So in the end, you may lvl faster, but youd have to farm more to make up for all the quests you did.
^.^

Wow...sounds like a plan to me.... I've been debating on whether or not to start farming elsewhere soon with my L44 nuker (currently farming bunwangs with 9 lvl gap, ~49k sp saved). I need a good $$$ source, cause my L66 str glavie's gear and pots are getting way more expensive than the drops that I'm getting...wait a minute... I'm not getting any drops, I forgot bout that!!
What type of weap do you need to take them out effectively? I'm pure int/spear w/ garm right now.

Looks at sig...
I've been doing a 2-3 gap since 30 and I haven't been doing horrible sp wise, but I will have to farm a bit eventually...or just keep the 3 gap to 80...

here's what i did with my int...
I only farmed about 5k at the stronghold, but kept that 8/9 gap until L24...then 6 lvl gap to L30 and nukes.
Got nukes, and blazed away with 0 gap to 33, then let it grow back out to 9 by L42. Only have done L42 and 43 on 9 gap, and it does sux...you get mad sp, but takes you 3-4 kills to get .01%.
Just check out the sp calculator and measure out what skills you want to have by L45 and go from there

I'll vote for a gap of 4, coz you got most of the skills you need, AND, can lvl fast enoug not to go crazy. I tried out sp farming with hyungyo ghosts and such, but it sucks with lvl 7 gap even. Its really booring, thus, you cant grab great drops, got much weaker equipment, less money and and and.
Im now at lvl 30, killin' scorps with ice bow(coz fire bow=swarmed with scorps and ill die...:$) and they spawn as fast as bowmen in stronghold, drops are way more better, one kill gives me more xp+sxp, and so on. If you insist on the speed of killing, ill give in, buut, i think the two method are equal and i got more money and drops.
I farmed enough sp for my nukes, and lvld straight to lvl30, to get those scorps, got lvl 32 drops, and a huge amount of money. ^^
Call me n00b.
