im a lv 29 pure int fire and light right now. About now im torn between chains and kd. i dont know how to choose. can you give me advice and tell me which one does most damage? i know kd is better for pvp but then which one could do overall most damage when maxed??

KD and stab is best for pvp.... chains are just for PvE, but since ur a nuker, chains are useless.

you could get then if you want just for show. but takes up alot of sp

the last 2 chain skills, they do good damage but its only at very high lvls that you get the skill so why bother. just waste of sp if you ask me.

but as i said before, your a nuker so its useless considering its weapon based skill, nukers use magic to do high damage.

Chains are really only good for pvp, and youre int so you will train with nukes anyway. So why bother? Chains arent really that great for pvp, since they do lower and slower dmg than ur knockdown and nukes and they give the opponent time to stun or crit you, thus giving them an advantage. With nuker pvp, its all about speed imo. You want to get the battle over fast by nuke, KD, doublestab, stab (those two should be switched if youre late going in for the stab) KD, doublestab, stab, ghostwalk, nuke, KD, doublestab, stab etc. etc. etc. . Chain will not do enough dmg to dent the armor (or technically garments is more likely) of any pure str opponent and it will give bladers a chance to KD you, glaivers a chance to stun/ crit you, archers a chance to devil-arrow / crit you (crit on devil-arrow is basically 1-hit death on a nuker), other sword nukers a chance to knock you down, and other spear nukers a chance to gain the upper hand by stunning you. Unless you have tons of extra sp, chains are not worth it.

KD and Stab is best i believe, however i am a big fan of the chains. When you get to a higher lvl however you will be able to do mulltiple stabs during a single KD which will inflict massive damage. So for your build i believe KD is best for you :D

just go for KD and stab if your a nuker...

once your capped you can worry about getting heavens chain and all that shoot-

I'm a nuker, i took all the bicheon skills, but lvled up chains last, they are lower dps than kd and kd is a bit more helpful in pvp. the reason you will do a good deal of damage with chains, is bcause of int boosting imbue damage. focus on KD and lvl up chains l8r if you have more sp.......grind with nukes, shocklion shout, and the blade throw things, so you can move from mob to mob faster

Ive gone for both, chains absolutely pwn in pve. I can almost kill a mob my lvl in 1 chain. Stab and Knockdown, i dont like them in pve but good in pvp.

From experience, at a farmed hybrid's point of view. Stick with KDs and Stabs. I've had Heaven Chain maxed out. And like someone said earlier. Dmg is equal or better than a KD. But, you have no ability to pot yourself and keep your opponent in a state of being unable to attack. KD stab stab stab inflicts the most dmg and repeatedly getting KDs will give you the upper hand in a pvp fight as opposed to Flipping on someone and doing a lot of dmg, then dying right away because they stunned and critted you.

My advice, keep KD and stab until you know you're opponent is relatively low, on your last stab, get into a nuke. It should be a kill if you know you're opponents hp lost in the fight and can sense that you're in an opportunity to win.

if you had like a lucky br shield, and like hecka alchemy added to you which increases hp, would heaven and ascension be good moves to get for pvp?

still definitely not. Gives opponent time to pot away the dmg, and he can still stun you while ur chaining. Pure str glaivers can tank a blade chain while taking next to no dmg, and an int chain would take too long: a good SSS, SST, GSM combo would disrupt the chain and do major dmg with stun or KB. A sword person could knock u down.

Knock Back does not do "more" damage than a ghost spear without KB...

its just a bug with Knock Back critting but not showing the word "critical"...
you even hear the critical sound when it happens...

ANYWAYS back on topic...

Chains are bad in PvP *period*

KD & Stab only
ints shouldnt use it as a main attack though, because that means that you
have to get close to an opponent... pretty much what your NOT trying to
do...
its okay for hyrbrids though... ive seen some hybrids do some crazy damage using KD+Stab
