1. depends on the situation, if your pt has lots of archers, I've found it best to switch to xbow, position myself next to or behind the archer and Kb, Kb, Kb, when the archer is holding aggro. but if you have alot of close range fighters, daggers would be better.
2. depends on the situation, if you have a good cleric, you can have the buffs on more, unless you know what your doing though, do NOT use DD on a pt giant, you'll attract it's aggro and die with-in 2-3 hits. CE is alright though, just watch for for those sneaky mobs behind you. I found the best way to fully use the buffs is when you can zerk, zerking+DD= 20 seconds of mob massacre, if your pt is getting overrun, you can quickly weed out a few normal and pt mobs.
3. ppl say that
4. yes
here's a tip if your a pure rogue and you want to kill a giant, (works best with a pet), first find a place where no mobs will spawn, then turn OFF DD/CE, lure the giant to you, via fast/rapid shot or pet, kill off any mobs your pet may have attracted, and begins Daggering or xbowing the giant, if the giant is your level or lower and you have your autopot set good, you won't die, you probably wouldn't even need to use any vigors unless you get critted.
Rogue's CAN tank despite what ppl say, just not very good, some ppl just don't know when to turn off DD/CE
