Well Garment's Pros: More Speed, Less Mp consumption , more mag defense
Protector Pros: More Phys/Mag defense...its good against both mag and phys attacks..and it has like speed and mp consumption bonus...but a little less than garment I think.
Garments' Cons: You wont have alot of phys defense or as much as you would get from say prot ...and Warrior's and Rogues are really gonna beat you down to a pulp..im not saying Str in garment suck...im just simply saying their attacks are all phys based and your garm set isnt gonna hold up.
Protector' Cons: Your gonna take more mag dmg from your opponent cause you lack the extra mag defense you get from Garment...but you get a even middle mix of both phys and mag defense from them...also less speed and less mp consumption.
I have protector for my lvl 99 glavier and I love it...I do fine against mag based chars (Firewall, Bloody Ghost Storm, and snow) and I do really good against str chars aswell. In the end it all comes down to your personal preference really...Do you want a balanced out defense or do you want more mag defense. Also with bowers Prot is really good against mag builds cause you can KB, Firewall , Strong bow , Anti-Devil bow, KB , Firewall etc.... and you wont need that extra mag defense from garment

100 pach/fire, 80 light, 20 ice -> garm/prot 100 pach/fire/ice -> garm 100 pach/force/fire or 100 pach/force, 80 fire, 20 ice -> garm
I got an armor and garment set and I love both of them : )

Yeah...and I'm doing good enough against str chars in my garm set with impotent but I still decided to make an armor set for them cuz of all the sun from magic pop.

Well if im garms, warrior and rogue will own me badly, one xbow/dagger combo from rogue im pretty much done, one axe/2h combo from warrior with a crit im done. Thats why im thinkin of going protector, nukers i can prolly tank for 2mins by spamming kb and fire wall.

It would end up like this: if I go garment, I get raped by euro STRs, if I go armor I get raped by euro INTs, if I go protector, I get less raped, but still equally raped by both. So, we choose what? Naked? What you should consider in my opinion, would be "fixing" your build's main weakness. If you are STR as I suppose you are, garment would be the best choice because you lack magical defense.

Was is really necessary to make the same Topic in two sections of the forums?
OT: I have a 95 bower and Garment seems to work fine.
