i'm looking forward for the screenies. nice to hear that some people have GM friends. if its in December then i still have enough time to farm another char for 100cap. I was really expecting 100cap will be released in May or June 2009.

Located in a basin surrounded by mountains on a plateau, this town

I'm pretty sure it's Indian, not Islamic. The Silkroad stretched from Europe, to India, to China. It did pass through the middle east but Samarkand is Baghdad, so unless the third race shares a second city with the Euros, it would be India.

You are not right there... im sure that samarkand is in usbeqistan and that itstill exist... bhagdad have some other historical name... but i cant remember... Constantinople is now known as Istambul and by some logic it should be islamic centre bcos it was a centre of otoman empire but before it was centre of roman empire... i think that islamic (eastern) city`s will be Babylon and Teheran... becouse that i dont think that 3 race would be egiptians it would be Mesopotamians aka. Syria, (anything between Euphrates and Tigris rivers)... and it would make sense bcoz it borders Turkey wich is capital city Instambul (Constantinople)

Edit: map as it is now is based on the south silk route and map as we know it now is stufed... we may see new, north route wich goes throught Mesopotamia, Persia (modern Iran), and india.

current map covered all possiblilities for adding areas such as Iraq bcoz it would be placed somewhere between samarkand and cleopatras gate...

another point is that Mesopotamians and Persians were some of the most active nations on silk routes and if this game is actualy based on history/geography connection i think that we can expect combination of India/pesria/mesopotamia for new race
