Ahoy!

As a former FFXI MMORPG'r I wanted to give Silkroad a try with some friends and its awesome. I just have a few questions that I have after reading several different guides and FAQ's.

Well if anyone here has played FFXI, I use to be a 75 Dark Knight and I was wondering if Silk Road offered an equivalent to that? The closest I came to was maybe a Warrior/Warlock?

My second question is, is there any class that is just pure Melee? I really want to be 2H player but from what I read, the only way to go is 2H Warrior/Cleric, which to me seems kinda what it was to be a Paladin back in FFXI.

Any assistance on where to obtain this information would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

and twice i logged in 1st try into ares
in the morning and just now

Hmmm... Is going with a Warrior with no sub a bad thing? Or is it one of those "might as well sub rogue" scenarios?

Just warrior would be instant death. Unless you use vigors of course. But might as well add in something to make you stronger.

Have you considered force glavie? I've never played FFXI or even heard of it but the closest thing to a warrior/warlock on the chinese side would be force glavie if you ask me.

I'm not quite sure what Vigors or Force Glavie is but I'll definately look into those. Just a fyi, I'm on the European side. And FFXI is a somewhat popular MMORPG, I played it on the Xbox 360 but its out on PC/PS3/PS2 as well. Probably better known as Final Fantasy 11.

Warrior would work out well,.. Atleast when you are in a euro party, pvp'ing with a team(this could be somewhat difficult with no sub tho) and if you are grinding on mobs in a team.

Ohyeah, and I think you are more of a team player(because you played FF ^_^), so I recommend you to join Venus, or any other legit server.

Warrior/Clerics is simple the best if you're thinking of going "pure 2hand"
Simply because you use only the warrior skills to damage, and cleric has 1 skill that gives you a lot of extra defence for 45 seconds, for pvp/uniques/giants/jobbing, and it has a skill that heals you overtime for like 5 minutes since euro's have a big delay in potusage cleric is nice because it makes up for it a bit,you'll be imune to nearly any bad status you can get ^^ you can also heal yourself (one healing skill lasts for 15 seconds, so while getting healed you can allreaddy be bashing your oponent as a warrior again, it only takes 0.5 seconds to cast and switch back ^^)

Warrior/Warlock is pure overkill (epsecialy at level 80+), if you completely debuff someone with warlock's skills and then use your strongest 2hand skills basicly any enemy would die (in the first skill, lol ) but you'll have a lot less survivability when you get stunned,frozen, or fight an other warlock for example

Haha omg don't I feel stupid. Did not make the connection that the XI were roman numerals. I honestly got the impression it was some really old game from like the 90's or something.

Anyways, vigors are just a potion that recovers both health points and mana points. They really help euros since euros have a 15 second pot delay, the vigor grains have only a 5 second delay. Force glavie is just a glavie char with the force tree instead of the lightning or cold tree.
