After spending the past 4 months or so grinding out a chinese character, i've decided to make a European character. I most definitely want it to be a Warrior, but i can't decide which weapon to take.

Personally i like Dual Axes, Stun, fast attacks, decent criticals and pretty good tanking ability. I know that Dual Axes were a pretty strong build at the 90 cap, without even having Warlock as sub-mastery. But how good are they at the 100 cap? Is it worth going with them or should i go with the all-popular 1H/2H duality?

If i decide to go with Dual Axes, i will most probably not take 1H/2H skills at all, so what i want to know is if i go with solely Dual Axes will i reget not taking 1H/2H later?

Also, which sub-mastery should i take? I`ve been thinking about going Bard since i play on an old server and its impossible to find parties until 5x-6x, however i realise that it will make me a much weaker PvP'er then Warriors with Cleric or Warlock sub-mastery. Would it be worth it to take Bard until lv 50 or so and then de-level it with the Cursed Heart quest?

Thanks.

if you plan on delvling something at 50, i would go xbow to 50 (no subs yet) maybe take cleric only too 23 for lv 1 bless

at 50, start to lvl warrior up then when it is 50 delvl xbow and get sub

bit confusing but you can solo lvl faster with xbow than warrior, no subs because you need free masteries for warrior so you can delvl xbow and still have attack skills to collect hearts

xbow only (no poison/extra skills is fairly sp cheap too), bard->noise/speed is a bit sp cheaper but you lvl slower with warrior

get axe and 2H if you like pvp, or you'll regret it.

1H.. when I party I rarely even use the attack skills. All you really need to do is throw on a 1H and shield and taunt everything.. though shield crush and the passives are really, really nice.

Dual axe are good in pvp if you know what skill combination to use. I'd say get all the warrior skills, raising only a few skills like shield crush on 1h (and the passive ofc). Or you could go w/ dual axe and 2h. For warriors, using only one weapon isn't as productive as using all the 3 weapons :\.
For pve, just go w/ cleric sub and wear robes, unless you don't mind farming 1k+ curse hearts.

Well the problem is that i know myself and i can tell right away that if i take all 3 weapon classes i'll end up using only 1H for parties, and only 2H for solo grinding and PvP. And that i'll barely ever use my Dual Axe skills.

What i really want to know is: is it worth it to go with solely Dual Axes or will i reget not taking 1H/2H later?

Well the best warriors usually have all 3 weapons or at least 1h/2h. Taking just duel axe shouldn't be a problem tho, u will still do alright in pvp with shield trash. Personally i think duel axe is the worst of the 3 by itself.

For solo sometimes dualaxe is better than 2h, yes 2h has the higher damage per hit, but it's slow, I've seen some dual axe grinding and it's like most under-rated chars, is only good when used properly and not just button smashing

IMO Dual axes are good because they deal damage very quickly. 2H can be interrupted very easily because it hits very slow. Also, the damage out put isn't that bad and for the most part you will always have bleed on your opponent, and you will stun a lot as well which is especially annoying.

Well getting all three would maximize you abilities.. but yeah, Dual Axe ain't so bad in pvv/pve by itself. You might need a little more durability on your weapon w/ axes though, because of all the chains. If you only take dual axe skills, remember to also take lvl 1 shield trash, just for the chances of dull and to annoy people :P

Meh, it's fine just going with DA...reasons ppl get 1h / 2h is for the defense / offense capabilities.

1hs is mainly used just to tank where 2hs is the main damage dealer ....most war / cleric's use DA / 1hs, depending on situation, just to get dull / bleed on ppl, then they go 2hs for the kill.

As for regretting it later, eh...I can't speak for you...it's relative to the individual.

Sub...get what you like most. I find DA / Lock nice; tankability, fast attacks, debuffs, slight immunity over 1hs / Lock due to the DA passive.

Though, for the whole raise bard, I say don't do it. You can do fine without the speed, and you won't have to waste time delvling it once you get to a point you'll have to.

Meh, I'd say it'd be better to max out shield trash and get shield crush to lv9....lv1 trash has Dull lv1 status w/ 40% chance to succeed (lower lvl statuses have lower chances of success on ppl above the level of the status ...lv90+ = lv10 statuses have more success rates than lv1 statuses
